1) Shaundra Walker presented on the Summon discovery tool that was implemented at Fort Valley State University's Hunt Memorial Library to make finding information across multiple resources easier for students and faculty. 2) Summon indexes the library's catalog records, e-resources, books, e-books, and journal articles to allow a single search across most of the library's scholarly content. 3) Students and faculty have responded positively to Summon for making research easier with features like a single search box, faceted search refinements, and citation formatting.

- FVSU is one of Georgia’s only two land grants, with UGA being the other. We are the state’s 1890 Land Grant institution. Our signature programs in agriculture are food and animal science, with a particular emphasis on goat research.We also have the distinction of being one of only three public historically black universities in the system.We actually have three sites, our main library, a curriculum materials center which is located in our education building, as well as a small library at our graduate studies center, located in Warner Robins (15 miles from the main campus)
