  • 3. WHAT SEPARATES TOP LEADERS FROM AVERAGE LEADERS? TOP LEADERS ARE “WE” LEADERS.
  • 4. “I” LEADERS ARE SELF-INTERESTED. THEY FOCUS ON TAKING THE CREDIT INSTEAD OF EMPOWERING THEIR TEAM.
  • 5. TRAITS OF “I” LEADERS TO AVOID: “I can do it on my own” Being a pace setter: “I’ll be out front, follow me” Arrogance Directing others Focusing on near-term results Focusing on attaining power and position Self-interest driven decision making Taking the credit
  • 6. WHILE “I” LEADERS CAN GAIN FOLLOWERS, THEY DON’T EMPOWER THEM TO EXCEL AND IMPROVE, WHICH BRINGS THE WHOLE TEAM DOWN WITH THEM.
