Question 4 – How Did You Use Your Media
Technologies?

2. Question 4
• Throughout my production I had used a lot of different
types of hardwares and softwares. I had used some
hardwares and softwares which I have never used before.
However I have learnt excelled in using them now.
The main media equipment I had used was the
Camera kit, I used the camera and the figrig to
film my trailer. I had also used the tripod
too, however using the tripod was difficult
because I had a hard time adjusting it. I also
used a compact camera to take pictures for my
recce and for my auditions.

3. Question 4
• For the editing side to my production I used
the Final Cut Express HD. I found this
extremely difficult to use. I struggled so much
and worried that I wouldn’t be able to create
my film. But eventually I did, I got a lot of help
and was able to use the main features and
functions.
• While working on Final Cut Express I became
familiar with the functions and was therefore
able to use them to create my film trailer.
• At the end I have learnt more than I knew
before I began to use Final Cut Express HD.

4. Question 4
• For editing my ancillary products I combined
my magazine and poster creation by using
Adobe Photoshop CS3. I personally hate this
software, it is very hard and confusing to work
with.
• Somehow I managed to use it till the end of
my productions. But I would never use it
again, everything on Adobe Photoshop is
confusing and complicated.
• The functions seem simple but when you
want to use them its very annoying. Adobe
Photoshop frustrated me so much.

5. Question 4
• I used the Apple Mac Computers to carry out
all my work, using MAC is a difficult because
its complicated.
• Mac is very different from the normal
Windows operating system. However I got
used to it and eventually taught myself how
function the Mac.
