Trends Smartphones exploding. According to a study by ComScore, in 2010, over 45.5 million people in the United States owned smartphones and it is the fastest growing segment of the mobile phone market, which comprised of 234 million subscribers in the United States. GPS enabled devices are growing along with smart phones:  –  In 2008, 421 million chipsets sold, which was +57% year over year.  Cell Phones/pda’s accounted for 60% of GPS shipments. Apple has re-defined the interface again. Computing has gone from text input to graphical interface to touch.  And it isn’t going back.  Technology is converging:  GPS, 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth are all enabling rapid innovation in mobile devices, and how users get and interface with information.
As a result, the future of the internet is mobile
And in the next few years, data traffic will grow over 100%/year
