Standard Medical Treatment Is Failing Big Time
Dr. Dwight Lundell Chief of Staff & Chief of Surgery Banner Heart Hospital (2 nd largest) “ The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake.   Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice.” “ I freely admit to being wrong…” “ These recommendations are no longer scientifically or morally defensible. Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before.” Dr. Lundell left surgery to focus on using nutritional treatment of heart disease. Won the Iron Man Competition at age 65

Early Detection Is Critical! Oprah just recently endorsed the concept of testing to determine her vascular age but is not an affiliate of any specific screening company. Oprah recently demonstrated the value of having a Cardio Screening to determine her Vascular Age. Of course everybody wanted to experience what Oprah did... Unfortunately, we have heard her screening was about $2000. American Heart Association recommends a cardio screening for everyone over 20!

  1. October 2005: The World Health Organization has published a report forcasting that four hundred million will die prematurely in the next ten years from chronic illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes. This will outpace every other epidemic and natural disaster in the history of humanity.
  2. 1 out of 8 live births has congenital heart disease. Heart disease is a staggering financial burden with estimates as high as 2 billion dollars a day in the next couple of years. 1999 researchers found 60% of 5-10 year olds have at least one risk factor for heart disease including: High cholesterol, high blood pressure or elevated insulin levels. Heart disease kills more women over the age of 60 than any other disease. At a half a million deaths, it dwarfs breast cancer, which will claim about 43,000 lives this year. Specific diseases caused by atherosclerosis include coronary artery disease, angina pectoris, cerebral vascular disease, thrombotic stroke, transient ischemic attacks, diabetic vascular complications, and pulmonary embolisms. Conventional medicine’s approach is drano or rotter rooter. African Americans dark skin prevent the absorption of vitamin D which is essential for preventing heart failure (supplement with 800-1000 IUs of vitamin D daily.
  3. Cardiovascular Disease –(Cardio) Disease of the Heart and (Vascular) Blood Vessels – 73 million, 946,000 deaths, Cost $351.8 Billion. 1,100,000 have Cardiomyfarction (heart attack) 52 million have High Blood Pressure – 45,000deaths, Cost $50 Billion Having HBP (150/90) increases risk of dying from heart attack 3-fold, heart failure 4-fold, stroke 7-fold 5 million have Congenital Heart Disease with 500,000 new cases each year 13 million have Coronary Heart Disease (CAD) - 515,000 deaths, cost $130 Billion. 6.2 million suffer from Angina pain Every 90 seconds someone has a stroke and every 180 seconds someone dies from a stroke. 160,000 die from a stroke every year another 750,000 Americans suffer a Symptomatic Stroke each year (expected to double in the next 5 years) – another 22 million suffer Silent Strokes 17 million have Diabetes – 70,000 deaths – Another 17 million Pre-Diabetic – 70% of diabetics die of a heart attack or stroke 3 million Americans have Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) 750,000 Americans have critical limb ischemia, resulting in 200,000 amputations each year . Those that can get an balloon, stent or bypass, 30% fail within a year and 40% die within 4 years due to a heart attack or stroke. 30 million men admit to impotence and is now being considered as a major marker for heart disease as both are a problem with blood flow.
  4. Sudden Cardiac Death is not a “heart attack” caused by clogged arteries, but by ventricular fibrillation which is an electrical problem in which the cardiac conduction system that generates the impulses regulating the heart suddenly outputs rapid or chaotic electrical impulses, or both. The heart ceases it rhythmic contractions, the brain is starved of oxygen and the victim looses consciousness within seconds. It kills its victims within minutes. 95% die before reaching the hospital and 70% die at home. A person who has suffered a heart attack is at greater risk of SCD because the scar tissue left from the heart attack prevents the heart to pump blood efficiently which disrupts the heart’s to electrical conduction. A person at risk can be tested with a echocardiogram to check the ejection fraction (amount of blood pumped by the heart with each beat). Every 60 seconds survival rate reduces 10% Defibrillators are becoming as common place as fire extinguishers
  5. In 2002 960,000 Americans died from diseases of the heart and for 400,000 people each year the first sign is the last, well for the 560,000 that have symptoms we have several types of treatment. Any treatment that fails to support the circulation throughout your entire body is likely to fail you and your health, but cardiovascular surgery and other conventional heart treatments, like drug therapies, are enormously, almost unimaginably profitable. Conventional medicine approach heart disease primarily one of two ways: Drano or Roter Rooter Surgery first it begins with a cathertization (2.3 million performed @ $20k) #1 Ream out the clogged arteries or flatten deposits in the vessels with a balloon or stent. While more than 1.2 million people undergo coronary angioplasty using a ballon at a cost of $40k a recent study just published in the New England of Medicine found that angioplasty did not save lives or prevent heart attacks in non-emergency heart patients. An even bigger surprise: Angioplasty gave only slight and temporary relief from chest pain, the main reason it is done. The study concluded that newer drugs were far more effective. #2 Another 1 million heart patients undergo a procedure in which a metal stent is placed in the artery to open up the blocked artery. A full 30 to 50 percent of patients experience re-blockages (restenosis) within six months of their initial procedure , which led to a drug coated stent. Now a new study is showing that the drug coated stents can lead to a stroke because of blood clotting. #3 Cut away clogged sections of the artery and replace it with a new section grafted from other parts of the body. This procedure is known as a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) known in the medical profession as cabbage also referring to money which is what it is going to take a lot of ($60,000 per procedure). A common side effect is cerebral dysfunction or memory loss and mental decline and 4-10 % never survive the operation. 519,000 CABG procedures last year You should know that according to the New England Journal of Medicine a bypass compared to less invasive and risky medical therapies appears neither to prolong life nor prevent heart attacks in patients who have mild angina or suffer no chest pain after having a myocardial infarction. And yet CABGs alone generates over $20 billion dollars a year. And how about the price tag on a transplant… the heart is a donor (FREE) the blood is donated (FREE) and the suture material to stitch you up is worth about $2.50. Yet a transplant runs $750,000.00 and there were 2202 last year.
  6. “ Traditional risk factors play a major role in treatment for prevention of heart disease, but they fail to reliably predict individuals at risk of heart attack.” A stress test can only be prescribed when a symptom shows up like chest pain and by then there is usually 70% blockage in the arteries. Out of 1.3 million stress tests last year, 67% of those tested needed surgery Out of the 1.1 million heart attacks last year 50% resulted in sudden death with no prior symptoms.
  7. October 2005: The World Health Organization has published a report forcasting that four hundred million will die prematurely in the next ten years from chronic illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes. This will outpace every other epidemic and natural disaster in the history of humanity.
  8. Associated Press Headlines announcing award of 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 12 The work that has lead to our current understanding of the importance of the nitric oxide pathway in cardiovascular disease was initiated by these three gentlemen, Fred Murad, Louis Ignarro, and Robert Furchgott. They were awarded the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine for this work.
  9. Over 74,000 articles in medical journals since 1927 attest that “absolutely everything in the body depends on NO.” Medical Journals like Journal of American College of Cardiology, Lancet, Journal of Nutrition, Diabetes Care, Circulation, Medicine Sports Exercise, Journal of Physiology Pharmacology, etc. “ It helps maintain blood pressure by dilating the blood vessels, helps kill foreign invaders in the immune response, is a major mediator of penile erections, and is probably a major biochemical component of long term memory…” Science Magazine 1992 ‘ It does everything, everywhere. You cannot name a major cellular or physiological effect in which nitric oxide is not implicated today. It’s involved in complex behavioral changes in the brain, airway relaxation, beating of the heart, dilation of the blood vessels, regulation of intestinal movement, function of blood cells, the immune system, even how fingers and arms move.” Dr. Jonathan S Stamler, professor of medicine at Duke University Medical Center.
  10. Antidepressant Drugs: Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft, Elavil Anti-anxiety Drugs: Xanax and Valium Anti-psychotic Drugs: Lithium Blood Pressure Medications: Cardiac Drugs: Lanoxin Arrythimic Drugs: Tambocor, Cardioquin Anti-Heartburn Drugs: Tagamet, Zantac, Prisolec Opioid Drugs: Lortab, Codeine Illegal Narcotics: Heroin, Cocaine Pain Killers:
  11. Least toxic of all of the amino acids. 30-50 grams have been administered safely in clinical studies conducted at hospitals in the U.S. and abroad. Recent research shows that arginine deficiency, is a result of excess levels of a molecule called ADMA (Asymetricdimythylargine) which blocks arginine from doing its job, thus causing cardiovascular disease. ADMA is increased by: Diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, peripheral vascular disease, neurological damage, peptic ulcer, arthritis, allergy, low HDL, anti-depressant drugs, anti-anxiety drugs, anti-psychotic drugs, blood pressure drugs, cardiac drugs, anti-heartburn drugs, legal and illegal narcotics and pain killers, alcohol and tobacco.

  19. Age is a feeling not a number! Life is the production of energy! Health is the natural state of the body. If you make the right CHOICE now , all the evidence promises that the quality of life you can enjoy into your sunset years will be rich with both mental and physical pleasures. Martin Luther’s message was simple and clear: neither the church in Rome nor anybody else can sell the key to heaven because the key to heaven is within yourself. This simple message released a storm wind of spiritual liberation. Suddenly millions of people realized that they had been cheated and abused for decades and for one purpose only: the boundless enrichment of Rome. The storm of liberation was so powerful that the existing systems of the world came tumbling down. On April 18th, 1521, only four years later, Luther was called in front of the emperor’s Diety in the city of Worms. In the presence of Emperor Charles V and the pontifical legates, he was pressed to recant in order to stabilize the antiquated order of things. Luther did not recant. This day in Worms is considered the single most important day in this millennium, because, like no other, it influenced the further development of this millennium. The liberation of the human mind from a century-old yoke of spiritual slavery had become irreversible. Millions of illiterate farmers learned to read and write with the help of the German translation of the Bible. During the course of the 16th century the illiteracy rate in Europe dropped from 80% to 20%. Commerce and trade began to blossom because now people could write. Ulrich von Hutten, a contemporary of Luther, described the incredible feeling of liberation with the words, “What a joy it is to live.” The medieval times had ended once and for all and the liberation of the human spirit and intellect released resources in all sectors of society and made Europe the most influential continent on Planet Earth. Today, 500 years later, we find ourselves in a similar dependency. This time it is not the dependency of the mind and the intellect, but the dependency of our bodies and our health. Just as 500 years ago, millions of people are being deprived of their last money for an illusion: health through the pharmaceutical industry. It is high time that this illusion is ended. Thus, as it was 500 years ago, the message today is simple. Nobody except yourself owns the key to your health. The liberation of mankind towards health will liberate similar resources in all sectors of society, like the intellectual liberation 500 years ago.
