Bethlehem is a Palestinian city located in the central West Bank, approximately 10 km south of Jerusalem. It has a population of around 30,000 Palestinian Christians and Muslims and was historically significant as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, Jesus was born in Bethlehem, where the Church of the Nativity now stands.
