2. Yoga is beyond any Caste, Gender & Religion : it is way of life
which explores the hidden powers in a person.
• The Sanskrit word Yog has many meanings, and is derived from the
Sanskrit root "yuj", meaning "to control", "to yoke" or "to unite".
Translations include "joining", "uniting", "union", "conjunction", and
"means".
• Yoga refers to physical, mental and spiritual disciplines that originated
in India. The word is associated with meditative practices. It also refers
to one of the six orthodox schools of Philosophy , and to the goal
towards which that school directs its practices.
•Major branches of yoga include Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga,
Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga.
5. Focusing your mind through five Cognitive Senses
Hearing : Sound- Chanting of “OM”
Touching : Feeling –Feeling the Touch
Seeing : Tratak (Concentrating)
Tasting : Holding the tongue
Smelling : Concentrating on Particular smell
