2. Wind energy is a form
of solar energy, which of
course, means it’s
renewable.
Fortunately, wind does
not need to be
produced, unlike
ethanol. So there will
always be a constant
supply.
One con to wind
energy is that it is quite
expensive to set up.
However, after the
primary investment and
startup costs it is
actually an economical
form of electricity
generation to maintain.
3. In 2005, Germany was the lead country in using wind energy, with the United States as the
third leading country. The Department of Energy stated that “offshore wind farms could
provide enough energy to power the entire nation”. This means that we’ve barely even touched
this field of energy! This could easily become an affordable way to power our homes and cities
across the country. Maybe even across the world!
As of 2003, wind power was the fastest growing
In 2005, wind accounted for 1% of the total
form of electricity generation on a percentage
electricity production in the world
basis in the U.S.
4. In Denmark, wind power now
produces approximately 20%
of the country's electricity
consumption, and in recent
surveys, 90% of the citizens
wanted more wind turbines
installed. What we are starting
to see through all the recent
surveys and tests is that
people have not taken wind
energy seriously enough!
There is a substantial amount
of energy that can be
generated through wind
turbines. Until we finally
realize that wind power is a
diamond in the rough, we will
still struggle with our
economy!
5. HOW?
ANEnergies
says, “Wind
turbines catch
kinetic energy in
the wind and
transform it in to
electric power in
modern wind
turbines. Wind
turbines produce
green energy, since
wind is a renewable
source and don’t
need any fuel
transport that can
be hazardous to the
environment. It
does not create air
pollution or leave
contaminating
waste behind.”
6. According to this little chart, wind energy has been noticed as a pure,
economical treasure! In 2011, America surpassed Germany and took
second place in the world in greatest utilization of wind energy. I hope one
day we could be the leading nation in its wonderful use!
