“Don’t Worry, Be Happy”
Bible Text is Matthew 6:25-34

2. MATTHEW 6:33-34
 But seek first His Kingdom and His
righteousness, and all these things will be given
to you as well.
 Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for
tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day
has enough trouble of its own.

3. THE EVOLUTION OF “WORRY”
 Old English “wyrgan” - to strangle
 Middle English “worien” – to kill or
injure by biting the throat and
shaking
 16th Century “worry” - to harass
through assault or verbal attact

4. 5 REASONS NOT TO WORRY
 It keeps you from enjoying life. v. 25
 It devalues you. v. 26
 It accomplishes nothing good. v. 27
 It ignores the promises of God. vv.31-32
 It is more characteristic of unbelievers. v. 32

5. SO WHAT DO I DO NOW?
 Stop worrying and Start Living. Matthew 6:34
Worry is a habit that can be broken.
 Stop Straining and Turn Loose. I Peter 5:7
Drop what worries you onto the shoulders of God.
 Stop the Panic and Start Praying. Phil. 4:6-7
