5. Aims of the project
 Providing a project framework for integration of existing Open Source modules
 Enable isolated Open Source companies to become member of a new ecosystem
 Lisog stack is providing already many (unintegrated) modules on all levels:
 Infrastructure (RedHat, Univention)
 Storage (Archive, Backup, Storage)
 Middleware (Databases, Application Server, ESBs)
 Applications (DMS, ERP, Project Management)
 Milestones for OSII:
 Definition of several „real world“ user integration scenarios
 Enable all existing modules to become SOA-ready though APIs
 Implementation of the integrated scenarios bases on an ESB
 Definition of new business models based on an integrated stack
 Cloud enabling of the integated stack
 OSII gets funding from the Germany Ministery of Economics
