One foot equals 12 inches so volume in inches is = 4,700,160 cubic inches
3. Volume of one package of 6 shade cones = 12 * 12 * 48 = 6912 cubic inches
Volume of shade cones that can occupy container = 4,700,160/6912
= 680 packages or 4080 shades
Weight of one package or 6 shades = 62 pounds
Weight of 4080 packed shades = 42,160 pounds
Using the computation above, there are 4080 shades able to put in the container,
considering that the maximum weight the container can accommodate is 44,000
lbs.
3. Using an intermodal container, how many style C can be put?
Volume of one package of 10 shade cones = 12 * 12 * 50
= 7200 cubic inches
