DÍDAC LEE
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT
Although it may seem incredible, the original idea for Zyncro started
back in 2001 with igente, a cloud-based intranet that didn’t prosper
with the fall of the Dotcoms. But Dídac wasn’t discouraged. Around
2008 he returned to the idea and created a file synchronizer that
provided cloud-based access to professional and personal
documents. However, the true potential of his solution wasn’t
discovered until September 2010 when he added a microblogging
wall to Zyncro, a totally innovative idea for a file
manager/synchronizer. At the same, the “social” face and 2.0 style
started to flood the web and it was then when it was decided to give
Zyncro the collaborative and communicative functions that make it
what it is today: an intranet 2.0 or an enterprise social network. This
journey for Zyncro is what Dídac Lee, founder of the Inspirit Group,
dubs the “journey across the desert” which all startups must endure!
LLUÍS FONT
FOUNDER AND CEO
Lluís has been creating intranets/extranets since the 90s, which at the
time was done with technologies that required hundreds of
development hours. When he took over as Managing Director of the
Internet consultancy Internet AGM, the company created an intranet
generator that enabled them to build intranets in record time, saving
customers time and money.
In 2002, as CEO of NTR he wanted to give a definitive boost to out-of-
the-box intranets and created Colaboris, one of the first full intranet on
the cloud. After two years’ struggle, the project was abandoned, NTR
products grew in sales and Colaboris met with resistance from systems
directors who saw it as a threat to their costly software investments,
which were slower and less functional, as the cloud era had not yet
arrived.
At the beginning of 2010, he met Dídac and started a conversation that
resulted in two entrepreneurs combining forces in October 2010.
With the incorporation of Lluís Font as CEO of Zyncro, Dídac Lee’s innovation was combined with Lluís’s
corporate expertise and execution, the business strategy and product definition were polished, and the
marketing and sales departments were redesigned, until making Zyncro what we are today!

Intranet 1.0: possibly useful,
but boring, little use, and not
very user-friendly.
Social Networks are seen to be
more as something that makes
employees less productive. In
many companies, Facebook
access has been cut.
Shy business use of social
networks, very little in B2B.
Only consumer-oriented
companies use B2C social
networks.
Social media in good form:
bloggers confirm that they
are the 5th power.
Twitter incites democratic
revolution, but some
companies hardly use it.

Zyncro Flavors
Internal communities act as a virtual forum for employees
within an enterprise to share their insights, interests and
contributions about a shared topic of interest. Internal
communities are aimed at participants outside the
organization, including customers, suppliers, partners.
Internal communities generally support loosely directed or
non-directed exploration of high-level shared interests,
rather than focusing on specific projects or operational
issues, which are better served by team work spaces or
specific applications.
External communities create virtual places for collaboration
among people and organizations in the market “ecosystem”
outside the enterprise, including prospects, customers, suppliers,
partners, influencers and even competitors, occasionally. People
participate in external communities because of common interests
and commitments. They develop trust within the community (or
leave). Participants can include employees from the sponsoring
enterprise who act on their own or with employer support, but
the bulk of participants (and the sense of community ownership)
comes from outside the enterprise.
