Fabrication of solar power stored grass cutter
ABSTRACT
A Solar grass cutter is a machine that uses sliding blades to cut a lawn at an
even length. Even moresophisticated devices are there in every field.
Power consumption becomes essential for future. Solar grass cutter is a very useful
device which is very simple in construction. It is used to maintain and upkeep lawns in gardens,
schools, college’s etc.
We have made some changes in the existing machine to make its application easier at
reduced cost. Our main aim in pollution control is attained through this. Unskilled
operation can operate easily and maintain the lawn very fine and uniform surface look.
The DC to DC buck boost converter helps to step up the DC voltage from the
photovoltaic panel and store the DC voltage in a battery.
It is an automated system for the purpose of grass cutting. The source is drive from the
solar energy by using photovoltaic panels. The DC-DC converter is used to convert the low level
DC voltage into the high level DC voltage. High level DC voltage helps to operate the whole
system.
The system control is done by the microcontroller. Automation is achieved by using
sensors and microcontrollers.
Wheels and cutting operations are done using dc motors. DC battery is utilized for
powering and standby mode operation of the system
