STYLE SHEET
My colours are fairly basic, most of the magazine
cover will be black and white however there will be
a splash of colour round the text boxes and maybe
the masthead.
TITLE
The title of my magazine is Liberty. The name comes
from the statue of liberty in New York, I wanted my
magazine to be high end and have a feel of New
York City. Some of the biggest artists in the world
come from and work in New York and it is seen as a
very popular place to be seen.
GENRE OF MUSIC
The genre of music in my magazine is going to be
pop. Artists such as Beyoncé and Rihanna would
feature in my magazine . The biggest and best artists
in the pop and R’N’B world would be the sort of
people to have big spreads in my magazine. The
adverts will focus on teenagers especially girls so
adverts for Topshop and other brands like that.
COVER PRICE
My magazine will retail at £3 because after my survey
was completed a lot of people said that they would
pay around that much for a magazine that was
released monthly. This also compares to other music
magazines out there such as Q and my magazine is
very similar to this type of magazine.
PUBLICATION PATTERN
I plan to release my magazine every month. This
means more content than a weekly magazine but
makes it more expensive because you only buy it
once a month. My survey showed that people prefer
to buy a magazine less regularly but it to have more
content.
Reader Profile
READER PROFILE
Our readers are slightly older teens and young
people. We have targeted our magazine at fans of
the latest chart music and the most famous artists in
the world. We understand that social media is a big
thing for teenagers and young adults so we try to
stay as connected as possible across all the
platforms. All of us have our favourite singer or band
and we try to cover the most popular ones.
MISSION STATEMENT
At Liberty we intend to provide our readers with the
best entertainment, latest news and juiciest gossip
possible. Our aim is to keep our readers happy month
after month. We thrive on the fact that we are a
premium brand of magazine and we like to inform
you about all the biggest names in the business. We
have people all over the world ready to report any
breaking news within hours of it happening and we
pride ourselves on being the first to know. We include
every up and coming artist worth watching and tell
the readers all about the best concerts. Each issue
features exclusive interviews, unseen pictures and the
most popular tracks of the past month.

FLATPLAN
On the previous page there is a flatplan of the first 50 pages of my
magazine. This shows the type of thing that I will include in my
magazine and how it will be set out. It gives a good indication about
what the readers can expect within the magazine and it will change
according to the feedback we receive.
