This solution has also been implemented in the surgical ward of the Emailleurs clinic in Limoges, which
offers SMS reports of patients treated surgically for obesity. While the institution previously lost sight of
54% of its patients over a three year period, after a year of experimentation 33 of the 35 patients that
had been operated on continued to communicate their weight each week by SMS.
