2. Feedback
• Ele: ‘It is a good Radio drama but I would of liked
to hear the phone call from her dad to her. I
believe this would of given the audience more of
an insight of what his dad is thinking’
• Phele: ‘I really like the how you know what
Elizabeth is thinking so you understand where she
is coming from’
• Freddie ‘ I think it’s a great radio drama I really
enjoyed listening to it. Having a cliff hanger made
me want to listen to it more’
3. Feedback
Annie: ‘ Enjoyed the Radio Drama and I think it
is really relatable to your target audience.’
Charlotte: ‘I didn’t really like this Radio Drama
because I felt it was confusing because some
of the characters sound the same.
4. Evaluation
Radio Drama Evaluation
For this unit I learnt how to create a Radio Drama. I firstly looked into different genres of radio drama which gave me some
inspiration for my final Radio Drama. Not only did it inspire me but I was also able to look at different codes and conventions
used in the Radio Drama. This helped me look into music I could use and sound effects I would be able to add in.
I started off piecing together characters. I wanted my characters to have different backgrounds and different personalities as I
believed it would be more entertaining for the listener. Due to my target audience I asked many people in my class if they
listened to any type of Radio Drama some had but most hadn’t. I therefore needed my product to be advertised not only on
popular Radio channels such as kiss 100 but also to be advertised in magazines. This way I would be able to get more
listeners.
My feedback as shown has elements of negative and positive feedback. I do think that all there points are valid. Once
listening through I understand exactly where they are coming from.
I knew even before I had started creating my Radio Drama that I wanted to end it with a cliff hanger this was because I wanted to
create a buzz. This made my listeners ask what happens next which will provoke other people to listen into my Radio Drama.
From my feedback I believe that I should have had what the characters were thinking. Instead I only used the main character
but I think it would have been more clearer about the characters feelings. I also think it would have been better to use a
dream like sound effect when using what the character was thinking.
I also believe that I needed to have more characters to make the listeners understand exactly who is speaking and who each
character is speaking to.
Overall I am pleased with my Radio Drama and I think it worked well with my target audience. Although I had some minor
blips I now know for next time I create a radio drama that I will need to use more characters to make it clear. I also would
use more sound effects to make it clearer.
