I used a range of techniques to attract my target audience, in particular, looking at how successful music
magazines such as N E attract their audiences and then applying it to my magazine. I used this font (Prestige
M
Elite) as it is not curly girly writing but is bold and clear and so suits both genders, also, the colour scheme I
used w black, w
as hite and blue. These are also colours w hich would attract both genders, and I took a lot of
time to decide on my colours.

By using particular artists and content to suit the audience and refer to the genre of music in the
magazine, it will capture more readers to read on about the bands and artists they admire.
Choosing a mast head was also difficult because it needed to be original but also refelct the genre
and audience. I didnt want to use a colour that would attract more females than males or vice versa
so I thought black would suit both genders. I also used a simple font and thr name Harmony reflects
the idea of the magazine purely being about the music and for those who really appreciate music.
By getting a lot of audience analysis along the w it meant I could change and improve parts of my project
ay,
that perhaps I hadn't noticed or that w ould suit the audience’s expectations better. After receiving feedback, I
automatically felt more confident w the changes and felt that my products w getting better and I w

more and more pleased w them. I chose my audience carefully for feedback, I chose people w are into the

particular genre of music as they are more likely to read the magazine. Therefore I w being given feedback

From my original research of music magazines, I definitely decided on how I w anted to attract the audience
through specific use of laid back writing techniques and advertising new bands and artists. This adds excitement
for the reader.
I received a lot of inspiration from looking at other magazines and looking at writing styles that work effectively
as w as colour and layout.
