In prezent, foarte multi oameni vorbesc despre gamification, adesea nestiind cu exactitate ce inseamna. Conceptul si-a castigat popularitatea in mare parte datorita tehnologiei, tocmai pentru ca prin intermediul acesteia poate fi implementat. Ce este de fapt gamification? O definitie simpla ar fi: gamification este o metoda de design motivational. O definitie complexa ar fi ca gamification este un concept ce presupune aplicarea tehnicilor si mecanicii de gaming in alte domenii pentru a genera engagement si a motiva oamenii sa isi atinga telurile.
