These systems make use of ICT to provide solutions for improving road safety in particular in the pre-crash phase. These systems operate either autonomously on board of the vehicle or co-operatively through vehicle to vehicle or vehicle to infrastructure communications. They make it possible to ensure safe speed, lane support, pedestrian protection, night improved vision, driver information system, GPS & GIS navigation, emergency braking system, hill ascending & descending holders, traction control, roll over and its protection and wine smell detector.

accidents across the country are rising day by day. Reasons could be
any but precious lives are being lost.

5. Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC)
ACC is concerned with in vehicle assistance to the driver in longitudinal
following control task. The main aim is to help to reduce congestion &
smooth traffic flow. This ACC with stop and go function with auto distance
control(0-250kmph).It has two radar sensors& camera and maintains a
safe distance of (30-50 feet)by apply auto brakes. The radar sensor, a
video camera detect an obstruction, the driver is alerted by an acoustic
signal and visual display in the information system.
6. Intelligent Speed Adaption
It is camera based system in a vehicle which enabling one to
automatically regulate the vehicle speed. The vehicle speed for the
road on which we are travelling on as well as showing standard limit
that apply. It alerts us to temporary speed limit.
7. Night Vision Assistant
The human eye is one of the most sensitive organs but sometimes even
our eye can miss something. The optional night vision assistant with
highlighting of detected pedestrians scans the area in front of our vehicle
with the aid of a thermal imaging camera& highlights a pedestrian at a
distance of (15-90M) in the image. The night vision camera can be
switched on/off via rotary button light switch. A infrared camera is fitted on
outside mirror.
8. Traction and Stability control
These safety add-ons help vehicle to keep their grip on road to prevent
various kinds of accidents. It maintains the stability of body level while
running.
9. Anti lock Braking Systems
While panic braking with normal brakes might lock the wheels & send the
car into skid. The ABS pumps the parks eliminates wheel lock up while
retaining full steering control & ABS for added traction& control

It is an integral part of the total car design engineering so every single
system in the car contributes to make strongest & safest. It also reinforced
at critical points with high tensile strength steel to create a highly rigid
safety cage.to reduce the risk of side intrusion, doors are reinforced with

Before you cross a lane marking that is detected by the camera behind
the wind screen. You are given a gentle corrective prompt via the
steering staying reliably in lane.

Anti skid breaking system (ASD) that engage and disengage the brakes
every milliseconds, to avoid the wheels from locking under duress
caused by sudden braking.
14. Electronic Monitoring
With a multitude of cameras, sensors and radar. Modern
cars detect any unusual behavior on the part of the driver
(suddenly veering off lane for no apparent reason and
sounding alarms to alert a drowsy driver)
15. Pre-sense System Sensors
This detects on coming and over take. It also detect pedestrian activity
at night and warn both the driver and pedestrian with combination of
lights and alarm. In case this warning goes unheeded, then the brake
assist will bring the vehicle to halt to avoid an accidents.
16. Adaptive Headlamps
Adaptive headlamps are especially for those who drive in hills. The
lamps move in direction that the car turns, sometimes pre-empting turn
to illuminate road more effectively. In some cars, this lamps also lower
the beam to avoid blinding on coming traffic.
17. Alco lock breath analyzer
Alco lock breath analyzer signal the engine to not start if the driver fails
the breath test.
18. Park Assist Sensor
It allows the driver to leave the wheel while the car parallel parker using
sensors and cameras to manage to stop well in time to avoid an
imminent collision. Chances are that the vehicle behind will tailgate in
to your car.
20. Conclusion
• ICT innovations seem to be most effective in fatality reduction. The
literature mentions reductions on a level of 50-60% and on level of
30-40% particular types of advanced driver assistance in particular
road network sections.
• This electronic and communication gear installed to sense hazards
& prevents accidents on creating awareness among the drivers.
