Project Description:
Turner has Web based application and Mobile applications for TBS, TNT and TCM channels.
Aim of this project is to test this native application in different mobile devices and web
application in different browsers. It has different modules like On TV, VOD, Movies, Series &
Shows, My profile and Schedules.
My Contribution:
1. Based on requirement developed the test cases, reviewed and executing all Functional &
Regression test cases.
2. Defect management using Jira.
3. Preparing DSR and WSR for the team.
4. Arranging daily scrum call with onsite Manager.
5. Supporting the development team to fix the issue.
Editorial Tools Portal
Client: Turner Broadcasting System, USA Role: Technical Lead
Skills: Manual Testing, Mobile application testing, Jira and Android, iOS devices.
Turner has online application ETP, which has two modules Call to Action (CTA) and Smart
Links. Using ETP we can generate the CTA and program it for CNN Native application and it
generate the Smart links and Deep links for different platform devices, aim of the project is to
test this app in different browsers, Android and iOS devices.
My Contribution:
1. Based on requirement developed the test cases, reviewed and executing all Functional &
Regression test cases.
2. Defect Verification & Reporting on Jira.

ShowRoomPrive
Client: Lessmobilizer, France Role: Test Lead
Skills: Manual testing, Redmine, Eclipse, Xcode
The Showroomprive is an online shopping cart application, the client of this project is LMB. It
provides a products like cloths, accessories, footwear and ticket booking for travels and
ticketing. The user can pay through online mode. It developed for smart phones and hand
handling devices based on the operating systems iOS, Android and Windows. And also
localization is implemented in this application.
My Contribution:
1. Analyzed User requirements
2. Verify Test cases for all the modules
3. Developing Test Scripts.
4. Test case execution.
5. Lead the team in assigning activities to the team.
7. Reported bugs using Redmine.
Symantec Mobile Security
Client: Symantec, USA/India Role: Test Lead
Skills: Quality Center, E-Track
NMS (Norton Mobile Security) - Symantec's NEW Consumer Mobile Security offering, launched
in June of 2010. It has Anti-theft, Anti-Malware, Call & SMS blocking, Live Update, Web
protection, Norton Ping modules. Aim of the project is doing functional and black box testing
of NMS application on different Android (2.3, 3.2 and 4.0) devices
My Contribution:
1. Test case execution of firewall related test cases.
2. Lead the team in assigning activities to the team and involved in defect scrubbing for the
whole team.
4. Test Environment preparation.
SetTopBox Testing
Client: Comcast, USA/India Role: Quality Analyst
Skills: Quality Center, Jira, Splunk, Teraterm, Confluence, Redmine
The project involves doing functional and black box testing of Set-Top Boxes for different
modules like: VOD, On TV, DVR, rDVR, Parental Control, PPV, Guide and Third party Apps.
Testing was done thru Remote Rig and Silverlight and Flash receiver applications.
My Contribution:
• Based on new requirement develop the test cases and upload it in to QC, execute all
Functional & Regression QC test cases.
• Analyze the logs using Splunk and raise/maintain the defects on Jira.
• Executing cache busting testing if required.
Mobile Application Testing
Client: Leading Telecom Operator Telstra, Australia Role: Test Analyst
Tools/Technologies: Mobile native platforms, Testing Lifecycle, UMTS, Mercury Quality
Center.

The project work is for a leading Telecom operator in Australia. The scope of the project was
doing black box testing of devices from different vendors like Nokia, BlackBerry, Sony
Ericsson, Motorola, LG, Samsung, HTC, ZTE and Windows phones in the operator’s live &
Model network that would be launched in Australian market to be used with the Australian
operator.
1. Mobile Application Layer Testing: It covers all the application available in Mobile phone such
as Messaging, email, Call, Multimedia, WAP, Settings and Map.
2.Operator services (Business application) Testing: Testing involves compliancy of different
products and services against different devices such as 3G Portal Testing, Bigpond music,
Mobile TV (RMC/WAP), Signature client testing, MyPlace/T1 client testing, MOS testing and
Whereis Navigator.
My Contribution:
• Test case execution: Execute all test case approved by the client in given area,
Functional & Regression testing.
• Focusing highly on exploratory testing to find out more defects.
• Defect reporting: Raise/maintain the defect in defect reporting in Customer accepted
format.
• Quality centre tool: BP Music we are using QC for tracking the results. Interact with
different client managers.
• Communicate with device vendor to give more clarity and reproduce the defect if
required.
Wireless Device Testing
Client: Leading Telecom Operator MAXIS, Malaysia Role: Senior Test Engineer
Tools/Technologies: QPST, QXDM, Bugzilla - Bug tracking tool, iPhone, Symbian, WM7
and other mobile native platforms, Product Lifecycle Management, HSPA.
The operator has several products and services for mobile end users. The scope of the project
was to UAT of the products and services for different 2.5G/3G/3.5G devices from different
vendor like Nokia, BlackBerry, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG, Samsung, Apple iPhone, ZTE and
Windows phones and also testing involves the broadband HSDPA data card in the operators
live network. This project involved manual testing in different areas like Mobile
Application, Content and Network. Mobile Application Testing & Network Testing – Testing
involves to validate the performance of different device in network and also validate
supplementary service, Drive Test. Content (product and service) Testing.
My Contribution:
• Handling customer deliverables and involved in client interaction.
• Execute all Client accepted test cases in Application, Content, Network area.
• Test case development: Developing new test cases for given product services.
Test case execution: Executed test cases according to the test case developed.
Highly focused on exploratory testing to find out more defects.
• Defect reporting: To raise/maintain the defect in our defect management tool
• Handling of Field testing (Drive test & Static test) in Malaysia and analyzing the
network log using QXDM tool.
• Operator specific functional testing and Localization strings testing on different
2.5/3/3.5G handsets.
• Proactive Value Adds: i. SVN tool: SVN is a software configuration management tool
which we were using to maintain the versioning of our documents. ii. Automated
Device Management & Effort Management tools and shared with the client

Embeded Test Automation system
Client: Sony Ericsson, UK/India Role: Test Engineer
Tools/Technologies: ETAS tool–ETAS Scripts, Clear Quest and Mercury Quality Center.
ETAS is an automated UI, functional and black box testing tool, used to test the strings in
different languages on high end mobile phones. The target (mobile) is connected to the ETAS
Runner and then a particular language is selected for execution. It compares the strings
present in the target with the translation file of the chosen language. If there is a truncation or
untranslation it is marked as failed. The results are exported to excel using ETAS Utilities and
are analyzed and PR is reported.
My Contribution:
• UI Testing and Functional testing using ETAS tool.
• Executing test objects, problem reporting/verification: Problem Verification on UI,
Browser, MMS and on other areas of testing categorization of problems depending on
its Severity (S), Occurrence (O) and Detection (D).
• Automation Team Works: i. Analyze feasibility for scripting in new areas under New
Mobiles. ii. Developing the scripts for language execution. iii. Execution of scripts for
different languages. iv. Result export, analysis PR reporting and verification. v.
Documenting in all the work done and uploaded in KM Site.
• Developing scripts, reviewing others scripts and execute the scripts using tool.
• Defect logging & tracking in Rational ClearQuest tool.
AGNI-Samba
Client: Toshiba, Japan/India Role: Project Engineer
Tools/Technologies: VxWorks, Edit Plus, and Mercury Quality Center.
AGNI stands for Advance Generic Network Interface, comes for providing SoftNIC. This project
is for Multi Functional Peripheral. It has around 14 different protocols support. It supports
multiple operating systems.
My Contribution:
• Joined as a Project Engineer and developed IPV6 support for Samba server module.
Samba is a suite of UNIX applications that speak the SMB (Server Message Block)
protocol to perform client-server networking.
• Bug fixing and involved in various stages of SDLC.
