4. ARCHITECTURE
The Taj Mahal being is one of the seven wonders of the world.
Poet Rabindranath Tagore described it as a tear drop on the
cheek of eternity. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 to
house the tomb of his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. This is the
most prominent of all architectural monuments in India.

5. The Sun Temple of Konark
The temple was built by King Narasimha of Eastern Ganga Dynasty in
1255 CE.. The temple complex is in the shape of a gigantic chariot,
having elaborately carved stone wheels, pillars and walls]. A major
part of the structure is now in ruins. The temple is aUNESCO World
Heritage site.
Nalanda was an ancient center of higher learning in
Bihar, India. The University of Nalanda is located in the
Indian state of Bihar, and was a Buddhist center of
learning. The great library of Nalanda University was
so vast that it is reported to have burned for three
months after the invaders set fire to it, ransacked and
destroyed the monasteries, and drove the monks from
the site.

6. The Vedas
Forming the earliest Indian scripture, consisting of the Rig Veda, Samar
Veda, Yajur Veda, Athurva Veda, they codified the ideas and practices of
Vedic religion and laid down the basis of classical Hinduism. They were
probably composed between 1500 and 700 BC, and contain hymns,
philosophy, and guidance on ritual.

7. Rabindranath Tagore-
A Bengali polymath who reshaped literature and music as well
as Indian art with contextual modernism in the late 19th and
early 20th century. He also wrote the national anthem of India.
Sarojini Naidu-
also known by the sobriquet as The Nightingale of India and
was a poet. Naidu served as the first governor of the United
Provinces of Agra and Oudh from 1947 to 1949. She was the
first woman to become the governor of an Indian state.

He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1988, and

This is a genre of classical dance originated from
the region of Tamil Nadu. theoretical foundations
trace to the ancient Sanskrit text of Natya Shastra.
