The essence of Islamic leadership

Abdullah bin Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace be
upon him, said, “Every one of you is a shepherd and is
responsible for his flock. The leader of the people is a guardian
and is responsible for his subjects: a man is the guardian of his
family and is responsible for his subjects, a woman is the
guardian of her husband’s home and of his children and is
responsible for them, and the slave of a man is a guardian of
his master’s property and is responsible for it. Surely, everyone
of you is a shepherd and responsible for his flock.”
Prophet’s life, a living quran

Aysha bint Abubakcer(RA) narrated that
Prophet (saw) was a living quran.

 Cave Thawr
Surah Taubah verse 40
“If you help not (your Leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help
him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one
companion: they two were in the Cave, and he said to his
companion, "Have no fear, for Allah is with us": then Allah sent
down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which
you did not see, and humbled to the depths the word of the
Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah
    is Exalted in might, Wise.”
Suraqa bin Malik following Rasool

people to Islam, the Prophet went out and ascended the Hill of
Safa and addressed the people: "If I tell you that an army of
horsemen are coming up the other side of this mountain, will you
believe me?” They said, “We have never heard you telling a
lie.” (Bukhari). Then he told them of his mission, though at the
time the people were disinclined to give up their traditional
   religion and follow him.
His sublime character of integrity, honesty and truthfulness made
him the most beloved person in the hearts of believers.

 The character of Prophet Muhammad (saw), whose

is as follows: "Every time when fighting became
intense we took refuge with Prophet Muhammad
(saw). None of us was nearer to the enemy than
    he".
 Then Prophet Muhammad (saw) returned to the
seat of command and with his heart overflowing with
faith, turned his face to the Aimighty and said: "O
Lord! If this group is annihilated today, none else will
worship you on the face of the earth."
 Allah had helped you at Badr, when you were

…battle of Uhud
 God’s Messenger was apprehensive that the Makkan polytheists
