BALAZS SZELENYI teaches
history and philosophy at Global
Pathways. He has taught at
UCLA, Pomona College, and
Boston College. From 1999 to
2005, Dr. Szelenyi carried out
research in archives in Slovakia,
Hungary, Romania, Austria, and Germany, and was a
research fellow at the Library of Congress.

Upon successful matriculation from the Global Pathways program, you will receive 3–8
transferrable credits that can be applied toward your graduate degree at Northeastern University’s
Seattle campus. Northeastern University’s Seattle graduate campus is proud to be a part of the

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1 At least two years of undergraduate coursework that is equivalent to
80-quarter or 60-semester credit hours from an accredited institution
of higher education.
2 Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.25 on a scale of 4.0 in cumulative
undergraduate coursework. Finance and Accounting Management may
be slightly higher at 2.45 GPA.
3 Minimum English language score of TOEFL 79 iB T/IELTS 6.5 for Leadership,
and TOEFL 84 iBT/IELTS 6.5 for Finance and Accounting Management.
Kaplan iBT test score is also accepted. Please ask your International
Admission Advisor to set up a test.

As a Global Classroom Bachelor Degree Completion student, you can choose from two
in-demand majors:
1. Bachelor of Science in Leadership
To achieve success, businesses and organizations rely on leaders—outstanding individuals who
are adept at leading teams, making difficult decisions, and effecting change. Designed to help
you develop the skills required to assume a future leadership position, this degree includes
courses in psychology, writing, negotiation, finance, ethical decision making, logic, and
organizational behavior.
Six quarterly term undergraduate degree courses (or 18-month course)
Open to transfer students and graduates from all backgrounds and majors
Internship opportunities with corporate and community partners
Potential for conditional admission to a master’s course at Northeastern University
Graduates may wish to consider jobs as managers, supervisors, team leaders, and

2. Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting Management
Companies rely on qualified finance professionals to make important economic decisions,
understand the numbers behind the business, and to achieve financial goals. This degree is
designed to prepare you to leverage assets, manage budgets, achieve financial efficiencies,
and maximize investments, through courses ranging from financial reporting and analysis to
international business and macroeconomics.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Rules and regulations: Global Pathways
students are subject to the rules and regulations
governing Northeastern University.
2. Arrivals and departures: All accommodations
are booked from the Sunday before the course start
date until the Saturday morning (after four weeks),
unless otherwise advised. A partial week may be
counted as one week’s accommodation.
3.Vacations and absences: If you are absent
during the program, no refund will be made for the
time missed. Periods of absence cannot be made
up with a free extension of the course. You must fill
out withdrawal paper work and notify your advisor of
your plans to leave the program.
4. Public holidays: Classes are normally not held
and most school facilities are closed on national
holidays. Compensation will not be made for classes
not offered at Northeastern University on holidays.
5. Prices: Global Pathways has the right to change
prices due to tax increases, governmental actions,
or other events beyond Global Pathways control.
6. Books and learning materials: You need
to purchase all books and learning materials upon
arrival at Northeastern University.
7. Admission: Once you have received your
acceptance to the Global Pathways program,
you will not be eligible to apply for direct entry
to Northeastern University for the same entry
semester. You will be required to complete
your Global Pathways program in order to
begin at the University.
8. Expulsion/suspension: Students who commit
a criminal offense, violate the student conduct code,
have a very poor attendance record, do not pass
their Global Pathways program, or fails to pay an
amount they are directly or indirectly liable to pay in
order to undertake the course, may be expelled or
suspended. No refund will be given and immigration
authorities will be informed.
9. Refund policy: Refunds will be made via the
Global Pathways representative to whom the fees
were originally paid or to the student’s bank account
in the same country and currency in which the fees
were originally paid. All refunds will be made within
45 days of written notification.
10. Accommodation refund policy: Students
must give four weeks’ notice in writing to the Global
Pathways Director. A refund will be made for 100%
of the unused accommodation fee less any
additional fees. For terminations made after 50% of
the booking has been completed, no refund will be
given.
11. Cancellation policy: In cases where
cancellations are made in writing more than 30
days before the start date, 100% of the tuition and
accommodation fees will be refunded. Pre-sessional
English students must cancel within 30 days before
the start of the Kaplan English Center. However,
the accommodation placement fee, $1,000 tuition
deposit, and enrollment fees are nonrefundable.
For cancellations made less than 30 days before
the start date or after classes begin, there will be
no refund. For cancellations due to visa denial,
100% of the tuition and accommodation fees and
any paid deposit will be refunded. Written notification
of visa rejection and receipt of relevant supporting
documentation is required.
These Terms and Conditions may differ according
to any changes in the policy of the governing body.
You will be notified at the time of booking of any
such amendments. Any dispute, claim, or other
matter arising, will be subject to the current laws in
the destination country.
