- The Innovation Voucher initiative was developed to build links between Ireland's public knowledge providers (i.e. higher education institutes, public research bodies) and small businesses. Innovation Vouchers worth €5,000 are available to assist a company or companies to explore a business opportunity or problem with a registered knowledge provider. You are eligible to apply if you are a High Potential Start-Up, this is defined as a company which is: Based on an innovative technology or service offering; Likely to achieve significant growth in three to four years (sales of €1m per annum and employment of 10 or more); small businesses (‘micro-enterprises’) with 10 employees or less, at local level.

Innovation is built on the previous ECCE project, which succeeded in creating a transnational network of local resource centres for the cultural creative companies. It has since evolved into a Sligo-led North-Western partnership bid to the EU. The CSI concept is to harness the wealth of existing creative and cultural industries in the area to foster cohesive and sustainable social and economic development. Extensive workshopping with local social inclusion and economic groups resulted in the establishment of an innovative creative public private partnership in 2011 for CSI.

There are 15 Irish designers involved in the new concept which is devoted to providing its customers the very best from high end luxury Irish goods. Housed in a 19th Century Georgian building Project 51 - Irish Design Collective – is a High End NYC Soho style luxury boutique filled with the Best of Irish fashion, jewellery, millinery, accessories and furniture. Project 51 offers the ultimate shopping experience in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Customers can choose from an amazing selection of luxury goods, from engagement rings to bridal wear, jewellery, evening wear, tailoring, millinery and luxury leather bags. Project 51 is bringing an international concept to Ireland: establishing a creative-fashion-design hub to showcase Irish design and provide the designers with the opportunity to offer unique designs to the public. By purchasing in an Irish owned boutique you are contributing significantly to the Irish economy! For every 100 spent in a multinational store only 14 goes back into the local economy versus 45 through an Irish owned shop (figures courtesy DCBA.ie) According to Jennifer Rothwell one of Ireland’s top designers involved in the store, “South William Street was always filled with the business end of the Rag Trade and now it is being reclaimed. It’s time for the rebirth of South William St once again as the Fashion Center of Dublin!” The designers involved also intend to make an international impact, to increase the profile of Irish design internationally with an emphasis on high quality and innovative design. Their aim is to achieve the same level of international recognition as the “Antwerp Six”, a group of influential avant garde fashion designers who graduated from Antwerp’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts between 1980-1981. The fashion collective presented a distinct, radical vision for fashion during the 1980s that established Antwerp as a notable location for fashion design. Walter Van Beirendonck, Ann Demeulemeester, Dries Van Noten, Dirk Van Saene, Dirk Bikkembergs and Marina Yee travelled to London and Paris together in the Eighties. Together the Antwerp six have conquered the fashion world with their very distinct vision of fashion. - CREATE BERLIN is the connecting platform by and for Berlin designers, representing the creative diversity of the Berlin design scene. CREATE BERLIN brings together energies and ideas and provides creative talents with opportunities to realise their visions by strongly believing in the importance of the creative industries in the city’s economic development. The design initiative CREATE BERLIN was founded in 2006 by 15 established Berlin-based creative businesses. CREATE BERLIN is a supporting hub for creative minds and ideas in and around Berlin: as an internationally active network it curates and manages various design projects in Germany and abroad, and has over 70 members representing the diversity of Berlin’s creative industries.
- Arteconomy connects art and the economy through various forms of collaboration such as long term projects with artists in companies, workshops for artists and entrepreneurs and ateliers where artists and entrepreneurs can meet. Arteconomy wants to stimulate a broad range of people to think about art and the economy. Seminars, lectures, workshops and open discussions help to develop and enrich Arteconomy and others.
- What is this project about? Luovimo is an internationalisation programme for 20 companies in the creative sector which encourages co-operation between different sectors and companies and supports the international expansion of top-rated companies in concrete ways. Luovimo's leading principle is the development of a concept, product or chargeable service to the point at which it is fully ready for the next stage. Companies selected through the programme's application process operate in the design, film, television, audiovisual, music, performing arts, games and content-production sectors. Luovimo consists of the participants' collective co-creation process and company-focused development programmes in which each company's business activities and its readiness for internationalisation are developed through a tailored consulting programme.
