2. Gable end wall with chimney. Plaster removed.

3. Remove dust and loose material.

4. Pre-cut sections of membrane to required size.

5. Mix DryBase Flex Adhesive using mechanical mixer.

6. Trowel application of DryBase Flex Adhesive.

7. Use of notched trowel.

8. Placing DryBase Flex membrane over adhesive.

9. Pushing membrane into adhesive using flat trowel.

10. Overlapping two sections of DryBase Flex Membrane.

11. DryBase Flex Membrane installed.

12. Application of standard bonding adhesive.

13. Application of plasterboard.

14. Completing installation of plasterboard.

15. Gypsum skim finish applied over plasterboard.

16. Detailing
Before installation, consider the location of
all wall and corner overlaps.
Overlapping Joints:
For joining two sections of membrane, an
overlap is recommended of at least 50 mm
width using Drybase Flex Adhesive between
the two layers of membrane.

Corners:
For internal and external corners, apply the
adhesive and membrane up to the corner
joint and 100 mm onto the adjacent wall,
overlapping the next section by 50 mm.

Drill out the hole
Using a ‘twist tip’ bit to drill through the
membrane to reduce fibre entanglement
Fill the fixing hole with Drygrip and insert
wall plug and fixing
Note: Due to damp and salty conditions,
using non-corroding materials is
advisable e.g. stainless steel screws.

19. Detailing
Drill out the hole
Using a ‘twist tip’ bit to drill through the
membrane to reduce fibre entanglement
Fill the fixing hole with Drygrip and insert
wall plug and fixing
