  2. 2. SMART AND SUSTAINABLE CITY : VISION Paris, like other metropolis in the world, has to be transformed to address the major environmental, social and economic challenges for the 21st century. This aspiration to become a smart city in 2020 is based on a specific model. An ecosystem sharing its resources in an open system, optimized and interoperable for better and collective use in order to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants by becoming ingenious, frugal and sustainable.

Some examples of winning projects : -ANR ECOVILLE about revegetation of walls (2014) -ITTECOP RENATU about the ecological corridors along the railway tracks (2014) -65 millions of observers about citizens sciences (2015) -etc Some examples of current projects : -H2020 “Smart cities and communities” -H2020 “Digiprana” -H2020 “Emparor” about air pollution -etc

It offers innovating practices in urbanism, in consumption (circular economy, energy, flow, etc), for the networks interconexion and mobility, soliciting the inhabitants, officials and professionals participation.

Ingenious city > Make more strength the role of nature The objectives to make greener Paris in 2020 : -Create 30 hectares of new green spaces, -Contribute to the planting of 20,000 additional trees, -Allow Parisians to choose 200 places close to revegetate (abandoned, building feet, street furniture, walls ...) -Revegetated 100 hectares of roofs and facades of which a third will be devoted to the production of fruits and vegetables, -Planting fruit trees in school yards. Ensure that no Parisian is more than 7 minutes walk from a breathing space, greenery or water.

These objectives are reported at 30% for the Paris administration, including social housing park The eco-neighbourhood only representing 10% of the accommodation Paris area, the existing heritage is the real challenge of energy efficiency improvements in Paris.

Maximum 50 kWh / m² / year in primary energy (consumption of heating, hot water, lighting, ventilation and air conditioning) for new operations, . Maximum 80 kWh / m² / year in primary energy or, failing that, the BBC renovation level set at 104kWh / m² / year for major renovations. For the entire park, the goal is set at - 30% compared to the existing consumption. Current situation in Paris: 332 kWh / m² / year on average in final energy

INGENIOUS CITY > Sustainable development The evaluation process of the Parisian eco-neighbourhoods Paris has committed since 2007 in monitoring, following a sustainable development way, and the evaluation of its eco-neighbourhoods with the support of its reference "Sustainable urban planning for Paris." Paris joined the EcoQuartier club since its inception in 2009 and has gradually adapted its own method to the national approach.

INGENIOUS CITY > Sustainable development The evaluation process of the Parisian eco-neighbourhoods Three parisian projects were approved in 2013 and 2014 and will be specifically monitored on shutters "Energy", “Water" and “Waste ". The partnership agreement between the State, the CSTB and the city of Paris will soon be signed to engage the studies. These will be conducted by the research department of the Engineering School of the city of Paris in 2015 and 2016. The measurements and analyzes of indicators will ensure compliance and to consider changes in technical or technological systems that prove insufficient. All developers or services will be involved in monitoring these evaluations.
