Engineer by training, John has solved complex business and technical challenges, while adhering to his unique interpretation of “getting outside the comfort zone”: simultaneously, move to a new country, work in a different industry, and learn a new language. In the global quest for new sources of energy, he worked at Max-Planck Institut in Germany, after graduating from Electrical Engineering in Lisbon, Portugal. He designed and deployed digital signal processing algorithms to make nuclear fusion a reality sooner rather than later.
