Read the selection “Agressive Driving
Should Be Avoided”.
Create a friendly reminder/signage
on motorists’ while driving
Keep 100% of your attention on driving at all
times – no multi-tasking.
Don’t use your phone or any other electronic
device while driving.
Slow down. Speeding gives you less time to
react and increases the severity of an accident.

What is an Argumentative Essay
An argumentative essay is a piece
of writing that takes a stance on an
issue. In a good argumentative essay, a
writer attempts to persuade readers to
understand and support their point of
view about a topic by stating their
reasoning and providing evidence to
back it up.
What are the parts of and features of an
argumentative essay?
Introduction:
The first paragraph is the introductory paragraph. It
introduces the problem and gives the background information
necessary for the argument and the thesis statement.
Hook- it is the sentence that gets the reader’s attention. It
should be powerful and eye catching.
Thesis Statement
-is it the main argument or the main point.
Body:
The body paragraphs contain the reasons.
Each paragraph talks about one reason. The
reason is stated in the topic sentence and is
supported by supporting details or materials.
These supporting materials can be either
examples, statistics, personal experiences, or
quotations.
Conclusion:
The conclusion restates the main
claim and presents one or two general
statements which accurately
summarize the arguments which
support the main premise.
