Performed the end-to-end design and implementation of the deployment of Microsoft Windows 7, applications and
end-user experience for ABSA Bank, a member of the Barclays Group covering 17,000 seats in over 700 branches in
South Africa using SCCM 2012 SP1/MDT 2012.
Provided engineering and technical support for the pilot deployment of Microsoft Windows 10 using SCCM 2012 R2
SP1/MDT 2013 Update 1 to a 1,000 UK user community.
Jun 13 to Nov 13 Took a sabbatical for travel and writing.

A 3rd line SCCM consultant, Lead Deployment Specialist and leader of a team of four deploying Microsoft Windows
7 and applications around France at the head office and three warehouse sites. Key tasks included:
 The technical lead in charge of the deployment of Windows 7 to laptops and desktops in Paris and
the suburbs. Led a team of four working round-the-clock to deliver required quota of systems daily.
 Troubleshooting and resolving Task Sequence, PXE, MDT, USMT and software update issues during
deployment and offering post-deployment aftercare support.

analysis, detailing change and rollback scenarios, migration concerns and possible conflicts.

Initial technical design authority who created the architecture and designed, implemented and deployed an upgrade to
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 from Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 to
25,000 clients.
Initiated and completed the installations and tests for 4 environments out of 6 including production and introduced
scripts and other ideas to improve administrative processes.
Aug 06 – Aug 08 Software & Deployment Architect, a.i.,
Canon Europa NV via Centric NV (Electronic Goods), The Netherlands
Implemented the enterprise design of a centrally managed desktop environment (Sysprep & Microsoft SMS 2003),
application repackaging (Wise Package Studio/Orca/Scripting), software deployment strategy (Role-Based in Active
Directory) and application lifecycle management for Canon Europe across 20 countries.
Created one universal system image using SysPrep techniques, to deploy 48 different models and makes of laptops
and desktops; validated Windows Installer packaging standards for all deployments.
