Introduction
As a researcher I have provide business environment internal external factors of Dialog Axiata,
and SWOT, PESTLE analysis of them and how it impacting to business decision making.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
 Dialog Axiata is one of the largest telecommunication service provider in SriLanka. has the
distinction of placing Sri Lanka as the first in the region and among the first 40 countries in the
world to support High Speed Packet-Based Mobile Data Services. (Axiata Group Berhad, 2018)
 It is a Subsidiary of AXIATA GROUP in Berhad, Malaysia.
 Founded : 1993 as MTN Networks (Pvt)Ltd.
 Dialog Operates 2.5G,3G,3.5G and 4G LTE(Long Term Evolutions) Communications.
 Dialog Products: Dialog Mobile, Dialog TV, Dialog Broadband Service, Dialog Global.

• High inflation level in country

STRENGTH & WEAKNESS INTERRELATE WITH EXTERNAL MACRO FACTORS
• Economic Factors : Interest rate, business organization is financially viable it has sufficient
financial resources than changing in these rate will not affect the pricing and marketing strategy of
the organization
• Political and Legal : Legal Rules and Regulation and Policies, these legal policies affect the
company to face these legal challenges company should have expertise and specialized staff.
• Social : challenge of changing social and cultural, Company should have strength of fulfilling
consumer needs and preferences as per their demands which are based on their beliefs and value.
• Technological : existing and new technology development, can upgrade its existing technology with
new technology than company can adopt changes

SWOT Analysis in Decision Making
• helps with knowing the required resources and competence to achieve whatever goal is desired.
• Knowing the current capabilities of Dialog team helps them to know what gaps to fill to achieve the
desired goal.
• a good share of energy and time has to be devoted to carrying out analyses of the idea, task, client, or
organization in question.
• One good thing about this technique is that it is also a very good collaborative tool for teams.
• SWOT quickly identifies both internal and external factors that are either favorable or unfavorable,&
uncovering potential positive and negative factors to aid in analysis.

(Axiata Group Berhad, 2018)  It is a Subsidiary of AXIATA GROUP in Berhad, Malaysia.  Founded : 1993 as MTN Networks (Pvt)Ltd.  Dialog Operates 2.5G,3G,3.5G and 4G LTE(Long Term Evolutions) Communications.  Dialog Products: Dialog Mobile, Dialog TV, Dialog Broadband Service, Dialog Global. STRENGTH & WEAKNESS INTERRELATE WITH EXTERNAL MACRO FACTORS • Economic Factors : Interest rate, business organization is financially viable it has sufficient financial resources than changing in these rate will not affect the pricing and marketing strategy of the organization • Political and Legal : Legal Rules and Regulation and Policies, these legal policies affect the company to face these legal challenges company should have expertise and specialized staff. • Social : challenge of changing social and cultural, Company should have strength of fulfilling consumer needs and preferences as per their demands which are based on their beliefs and value. • Technological : existing and new technology development, can upgrade its existing technology with new technology than company can adopt changes (Research and Market, 2018) 10

SWOT Analysis in Decision Making • helps with knowing the required resources and competence to achieve whatever goal is desired. • Knowing the current capabilities of Dialog team helps them to know what gaps to fill to achieve the desired goal. • a good share of energy and time has to be devoted to carrying out analyses of the idea, task, client, or organization in question. • One good thing about this technique is that it is also a very good collaborative tool for teams. • SWOT quickly identifies both internal and external factors that are either favorable or unfavorable,& uncovering potential positive and negative factors to aid in analysis.
