areas of the hospital.
 Built and implemented cutting-edge clinical IT infrastructure to ensure safety and quality.
 Led the initial licensing and accreditation phase in partnership with the Chief Operating Officer; successfully
acquired initial licensing from JCI for Heart Hospital.
 Created and executed a novel approach to Electronic Medical Records management, including Heart Hospital
infrastructure readiness for Cerner Millennium implementation and EMR platform customization.
 Managed the clinical aspect of devices and workflow integration at Heart Hospital.
 At the corporate level, advised the Corporate Critical Network Executive Team on Cerner-related EMR solutions
for ICU rollout and integration.
 Hardwired real-time monitoring of quality, patient safety, and patient experience into the Electronic Health Record
(EHR) system.

Head of Cardiothoracic ICU
As Head of Cardiothoracic ICU, fully trained in adult cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery, with experience in pre-
and post-operative cardiac intensive care patient management. Familiarity with implantation and use of RVADs and
LVADs for acute severe heart failure, as a bridge to transplantation or destination therapy. Managed ambulatory
patients on sub-cutaneous prostanoid treatment for severe pulmonary hypertension.
 Created a working team of specialists, meeting international standards, to manage the post-operative care of
cardiothoracic patients.
 Introduced percutaneous video-assisted tracheotomy and early renal failure treatment protocols to the Heart
Hospital CT-ICU.

Familiarity with implantation and use of RVADs and LVADs for acute severe heart failure, as a bridge to transplantation or destination therapy.
