As Head of Cardiothoracic ICU, fully trained in adult cardiac, thoracic, and transplant surgery, with experience in pre-
and post-operative cardiac intensive care patient management. Familiarity with implantation and use of RVADs and
LVADs for acute severe heart failure, as a bridge to transplantation or destination therapy. Managed ambulatory
patients on sub-cutaneous prostanoid treatment for severe pulmonary hypertension.
Created a working team of specialists, meeting international standards, to manage the post-operative care of
cardiothoracic patients.
Introduced percutaneous video-assisted tracheotomy and early renal failure treatment protocols to the Heart
