Centre Name and Number:

Student Name and Number:

Project proposal title and date:
Extermination Unit
Main area of activity:
I’m mostly going to be working with video games and animation
Rationale:
Products I have made this year was an advert and advergame for IRN-BRU, a music video on
believer, a video game based on tanks, and a magazine on furries. Skills I’ve acquired during
these projects which I will find useful was how to complete a walk cycle and different types of
character designs. I would use these skills to help create characters for my game and make sure
they all are unique and don't copy each other. I would also use the skills I’ve learnt to be able to
create proper walk cycles and make everything as smooth as possible within my animation. I also
plan on going to university to study game design which this project would give me a boost on more
I can learn.
Project Concept:
The basic concept for my project is going to be a Turn based RPG game about a squad that
eliminates dangerous people. My side project concept would be a few pages of manga that shows
the story about the squad with an action scene. What I’m going to create would be an animation
that shows as many different aspects of the game that I would be able to show like character
abilities, maps, Intro/End screen, Inventory screen, movements and character design. I’m also
going to show off character abilities in the manga and try to show each character’s emotions that
the game animation can't show. I want to be able to show as many designs for different areas as I
can to push myself and help improve my skills all around instead of focusing just on characters like
I have in the past.
Research I will have to conduct to be able to create these two projects would for the game how to
properly make the different screens and character movements. Additionally, I would want to
research the way to create a game map and make sure each screen created is to a high standard.
I also want to research the way to properly set out pages of manga so it will be easy to understand
and how to show a story without skipping important events. Overall I need to make sure the two
projects are to the standard industry has created and make sure I don't ignore important rules that
are used.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed?
The way I plan to evaluate my work would begin with a self-assessment of the work, making sure
that I’ve completed the task I set out to complete. I would follow this with a peer review to see what
others can find out about my work which I did not notice was wrong before. Finally, I would extend
and ask those within the target audience of their thoughts
