HR Case Study - “Bonfiglioli Overall Performance” SuccessFactors Project
– by Altevie Technologies
The mission of Altevie Technologies is to design and build solutions on the SAP platform, focusing on new technologies
and Line of Business. In-depth expertise and experience ensure a total coverage of customer needs: even the most
complex. Altevie Technologies has a specific HR expertise centre, in which solutions and new ideas are tested and
developed on a daily basis.
With our international customer Bonfiglioli Riduttori S.p.A., we implemented one of the first performance
solution based on SuccessFactors platform. Bonfiglioli is an Italian based company, leader in the global manufacture
and distribute industry, with a complete range of gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes, inverters and
photovoltaic solutions to satisfy the most challenging needs in the fields of industrial automation, mobile machinery and
renewable energy. Bonfiglioli offers tailored solutions, whose strength lies in the advanced content of each product and
the intelligent integration of different technologies.
Customer’s needs
The project started from the need of Bonfiglioli to implement a performance evaluation process, using the best
practices of SAP Cloud. The purpose of the project was the implementation of an innovative platform with a web user
interface of the latest technology, and that has allowed the HR function to be as independent as possible in the talent
process configuration.
In fact, Bonfiglioli wanted to leverage the Cloud technology to achieve maximum results with a streamlined
procedure, avoiding delays and administrative complications. The company wanted to keep forwarding the master data
centrality and the view on the current organizational HRIS.
The scope of application of the project “Overall Performance” was focus to a population of approximately 100 employees
belonging to the dofferent countries: Italy, USA, China, India and Vietnam.
Altevie’s activity
In the years to come the perimeter of the population involved will include other foreign branches of the Group, in order
to use a single tool for the performance evaluation.
The cloud platform has been implemented in a single language (English). The implementation by Altevie has begun in
September 2014 following these step, according to the BizXpert Metodology Cloud SAP:

With the significant expertise gained by Altevie in this kind of solution and in the project-oriented approach, the
intervention at Bonfiglioli followed a defined path and timings remained as scheduled.
In particular, the expertise of the consulting firm information was crucial to address some critical points of the project,
such as the adaptation of the structure of the evaluation model and user profiling function HCM.
At the moment (March 2015) the system is still to be finalized, but the test environment proved satisfactory so now the
production environment is getting prepared for the launch of the Performance Management Process (Bonfiglioli Overall
Performance), due at the end of April.
