Scope
The Aviation Lead Environmental Assessor Course
has been strategically designed to assist Airlines in
achieving the required professional training and
skilled leadership that allow them to develop,
implement and improve the IEnvA (IATA
Environmental Assessment) Program.
Within this course it is proposed to provide
knowledge of EMS ISO 14001, the EMAS
(Environmental Management Auditing Scheme of
the European Union) as well as an in-depth
knowledge of the IEnvA Program requirements.
Workshops and Cases studies focused on aviation
and international applicable laws & procedures,
ICAO annexes, and EU environmental regulations
plus the use of Environmental Performance
Indicators will be applied as part of the learning
process.
Using typical airline processes and related
terminology including exposure to the concept of
eco efficiency that allows achieving both
environmental and economic benefits to the Airline
will be transferred. This, plus the provision of skills
as Lead Environmental Auditor, will permit the
participant to better act as Aviation Lead
Environmental Assessor.
Mode and duration
This course will only be delivered face-to-face during
five days and will include the use of relevant case
studies.
Professional recognition
This qualification will be acknowledge by IATA as
International Air Transport Association recognition
that the holder of an ACS Aviation Lead
Environmental Assessor certificate can act as such
under the IATA Environmental Assessment Program.
