This document provides instructions and templates for students to develop a hypothesis, experiment design, and procedure for a 5th grade science project. It guides students through choosing independent and dependent variables and identifying constants. Students are asked to fill out hypothesis and T-charts to design their experiment, indicating their independent variable, dependent variable, and how constants will remain the same. The final part instructs students to convert their completed T-chart into an experimental procedure with materials list and safety considerations.

Now its time to make a Final T- chart using the one above and our example in class. Example the
constant of Water/Water or Time/Time is not enough. You need to use this time to decide how much
water, or how much time? A better T-chart would say 2 cups of water, 2 cups of water (or) 1 hour, 1
hour on the chart.
