Admin-Marketing Intern
Internship Overview: Internships are professional experiences that students participate in to gain
professional skills and experiences. Internships are structured as learning experiences that combine in-class
theory with real-world applications.
General Purpose of Position: To facilitate in the daily operation, management, and membership
growth of CrossFit Rehoboth.
Responsibilities: Assist in general daily tasks related to office operations and marketing development.
Administrative - Operations
● Greet members/clients and visitors promptly, directing them to the necessary paperwork, show
them around the gym, introduce them to coaches, offer them water, and generally make their
visit enjoyable
● Handle all client and visitor inquiries prior to escalating to Manager or Head Coach
● Provide ongoing customer service support to visitors, members/clients, and vendors
● Answer incoming calls, determine purpose of call, take detailed messages as needed
● Open and sort mail
● Open and reply to general email inquiries, forwarding as needed
● Coordinate, schedule, and oversee Manager and Head Coach appointments
● Process and monitor all retail & membership transactions
● Manage retail inventory, purchases, and orders – in person and online
● Maintain an organized electronic and paper filing system
● Receive and process deliveries
● Interact with visiting vendors
● Coordinate and maintain records for petty cash
● Maintain office supply inventory
● Manage all software processes and entries
● Schedule new member/client Assessments

Marketing – Membership Growth
● Pre-qualify potential clients over the phone
● Schedule consultations
● Conduct consultations as trained, to result in sale of membership
● Develop and present creative and cost effective ways to increase membership/clientele
● Develop and present creative and cost effective ways to maintain and boost member morale
● Develop and present creative and cost effective ways to increase sales to current clients
● Enter contact information into contact management systems
● Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials
● Perform analysis of marketing and sales data
● Prepare presentations
● Provide support to social media efforts
● Maintain tracking report of public relations activity
Intern Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social
media. PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience is a bonus. Must be a self starter who is able to work
well without constant direction, have strong organization skills with attention to detail, is creative, and
is comfortable working with a team.

● Enhance written and oral communication skills
● Learn about practical marketing strategies, what works and what does not in our market
● Learn how to develop practical and effective marketing campaigns within a specific budget
● Foster a rapport with employees, clientele, and the public
