Helpdesk manager: 6 Operators reporting to me. All admin and first line fault solutions.
Liaison with private companies (support), users, engineers and programmers up to manager level.
Record and present statistics for senior management.
Configurations:
Project management, planning, documentation and overseeing of the installations, and implementing the
configurations on new sites remote and local. Maintenance on existing sites. This consisted of Pc's,
terminals, fileservers, peripherals and Mainframe controllers.
Installations:
Supervise installations of terminals, Pc's, peripherals, controllers, routers, bridges and cabling
This was in a ICL mainframe WAN and LAN environment. Repair hardware up to board level. Install
software and support. Recommendations for h/w and s/w.

personnel for fault handling.

Amvescap had to upgrade its HP-UX and wanted to see what the impact would be on their Microsoft

I worked in Atlanta, USA and managed/build this test environment, which consisted of 50 servers plus. A
mirror of their production environment. The team participating consisted of super users, DBA’s,
developers and sys admins.
