2. Procedure
Prepare the working area
Ensure you have correct equipment and
good lighting
Ensure you and your client are positioned
correctly
Cover your client with a blanket
Cleanse the eye area using a water based
eye makeup remover
Apply micro pore tape or gel lint free under
eye pads on bottom lashes of both eyes to
keep them from popping up
With your curved tweezers select your
lash and with your straight tweezers
separate the lashes till one lash has
appeared
Dip you lash in the adhesive and apply the
false lash to the natural lash taking care
that the eyelash is well adhered
Repeat these steps till the desired look
has been achieved
Remove under eye pads and blow away
fumes from the adhesive
Get your client to sit before opening their
eyes slowly
3. Troubleshooting
Watch out for the correct alignment of the
eyelash to the natural hair
If the natural eyelash is directed right or left,
the therapist must place the extension in the
opposite direction to modify the original
direction
If the eyelash is pointing down the therapist
can place an eyelash under the lash to give
it lift and curvation
Check that lashes are not stuck to the under
eye pads every 30 minutes during treatment
to prevent eyes from being glued shut
If lashes are stuck to the under eye pads.
Inform your client to keep their eyes closed
and gently lift the lid so you can see which
lashes are stuck. Use your tweezers to
unstick them from the pad
Remember to fan or blow the lashes with
your lash pump before your client opens
their eyes after treatment. This is to prevent
unnecessary reddening of the eyes and
possible chemical burns from the fumes of
the adhesive
Wear a mask during lashing to prevent cross
infection and also to help prevent yourself
from developing an allergy to the adhesive
that can be caused through long exposure to
the fumes
