2. Why does it resonate for you?
A few reasons why this resonates with me is because I believe that everyone
deserves to have enough meals a day to stay alive and be healthy. My
parents emigrated from Ukraine so feeding 7 kids was not the easiest being
in a new country, but it shows me how anyone can struggle with it. Also, my
work tries to help those in hungry by always donating food to the homeless
and having food drives for the local shelters.
3. How can your interest be applied
locally?
My interest can be applied locally by doing things like going to go feed the
homeless or promoting a food drive at school or at my work. Also, I could set up
fundraisers or bake sales to raise money to donate to those places that are really
struggling with feeding their family and living in poverty.
4. Where can you make the greatest
contribution?
I can make the biggest contribution by volunteering at a local homeless shelter and
donating my time, money, and clothing to those in need. Something else I can do is get
to know those in need that way I am able to tell other family and friends to help out as
well.
5. Is there a feature of social media that can be
uniquely applied to this goal?
I think that there are plenty of social media options that can be applied to this goal.
One important is raising awareness by sharing your stories of helping others and
posting the reality of other people’s hunger problems. I think that raising awareness by
posting personal stories on social media would be very helpful in raising money and
awareness.
