About the Project:
This is OSP based project. The Alcatel-Lucent Open Services Platform (OSP) is an IT-based system providing
comprehensive support for the rapid development and deployment of high-value services through which
operators can generate additional revenue streams ahead of the competition. Built on the intelligentnetwork
(IN) service architecture, the OSP offers industrial strength, scalability and carrier-grade reliability. Its
architecture guarantees fast, efficient and high capacity internal communication supporting application inter-
working. A robust and flexible application development tool, the OSP is ready to augment existing large
portfolios, working seamlessly with third-party applications.
Includes the SCP (Service Control Point) and SMP (Service Management Point) Models.
FRC (FlexibleRoutingand Charging):Description:FRC is a number translation solution used to deliver freephone
and premium number services acrossnetworks.FRC addresses the needs of operators of all sizes,in any country
and with any type of network.
FRC performs translations of a non-geographical number into a real number based on a variety of criteria,
includingtime of day and day of week. End users can configure call routingpreferences easily through a web-
based system. This enables operators to offer a flexibleservicethatlets enterprises of any sizeto quickly update
the call plan.
FEPNGN (Front End Process Next-Generation Network): FEPNGN is a SIP server which plugs in IN-Services into
the IMS network. This server works as application server in IMS network. It processes callsreceived from the
S-CSCF in the network. It supports various IMS callssuch asprepaid telephony services,intelligentrouting
(FRC), Voice VPN …etc.
