occur in a split second that changes a
person's life forever; other times one
minor incident can lead to another and
then another and another, eventually
setting off just as big a change in a
body's life.”
-Jeannette Walls, Half Broke Horses
8. The sudden spread of
COVID-19 caused fear and
anxiety to people worldwide.
Governments of different
countries implemented many
types of safety and security
measures to counter the
spread of the disease.
9. Panic buying by people
from around the world
caused empty aisles from
supermarkets.
Suddenly, face masks,
disinfectants and sanitizers
became an indispensable
commodity.
10. Governments from around the
world issued lockdown protocols
to counter the spread of the
virus.
Events and social gatherings
were cancelled.
People were encouraged to
work from home.
Social distancing was
implemented.
11. The World Health
Organization has
encouraged governments to
establish measures to reduce
transmission of COVID-19
from person to person.

surveillance, detection,
isolation and treatment,
and contact tracing.

destroyed by a situation,
before we understand how
bad it was for us.”

14. ‘COVIDivorces’ or ‘Coronababies’?
The COVID-19 outbreak is profoundly
affecting our social relationships. Weddings
have been postponed. Divorce rates have
reportedly soared in China. Lovers are
suffering being physically distanced from one
another.

15. QUARANTINE
QUARRELS
Apparently, spending more time with
your partner may not always be a good

may proved to be difficult. Below are
lists of common issues couples

Small fights are more common
Both managing more stress
Harder to have alone time
Both are working from home
Being apart from loved ones
16. FINDING
COMMON
GROUND

can lead to different issues in a
relationship, there are still many ways on
how to work through them. Below are tips
on how to survive quarantine together:
Focus on communication skills
Be intentional about relaxation
Carve out alone time
Focus on emotional connection
Create a new routine
Practice kindness in the face of fear
17. DEALING WITH
UNCERTAINTIES
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, presence of
external stressors such as health
concerns, unemployment, economic
hardships and dealing with extended
period of isolation may trigger anxiety and
uncertainty. Being accepting,
understanding, responsive, supportive
and concerned with their welfare are key
components to maintain a well-functioning
romantic relationship.

STRONGER
PARTNERSHIP

of this difficult situation:

20. DEALING WITH
DISTANCE
Distance may no longer be an obstacle
to staying in touch in the modern
world, but actually connecting with
someone living a few hundred or even
thousand of miles away is still no easy
feat. Below are a few ways to improve
your current LDR situation:
Don’t panic if its not perfect
Talk (on the phone) about it
Pay attention
Find other ways to feel connected
Take some space (Focus on your
own growth and happiness)
21. STAYING CONNECTED
In the time of quarantine and lockdown
where physical interaction proves to be quite
difficult, there are still numerous ways to stay
connected.
With recent technological advancement,
video chats/calls and other forms of
interaction through digital communication is
now possible.
22. VIDEO CALLS/CHATS
Thanks to technology, connecting with
someone you love is as easy as a click
or a tap.
Mobile applications such as
Messenger, FaceTime, WhatsApp
and Zoom are now readily available to
be utilized for video calls and chats.
23. Doing group activities can even be
done virtually.
Thanks to Netflix Party and Steam
Remote Play Together you can
now binge together your favorite
movies or series or play games
together online.

doesn’t cut it, you can take your
activities a notch up by using actual

healing power of love, intimacy
and relationships. As
individuals. As communities.
As a country. As a culture.
Perhaps even as a species.” -

focus on what’s tearing you apart or
what’s keeping you together.
