Creating a market…..
Our vision
To create a self-sustaining market for transforming the existing housing stock
of the UK that offers good value for money for the property owner or funder
and a strong, predicable and consistent market in which local practitioners
can build their businesses. It will create income for the community-based
advocates that breathe life into it.
Purpose
Our purpose is to design and develop locally-led mechanisms and supply
chains for transforming the energy use and living conditions for all UK homes.

How is it all paid for?

• All scheme actions, by all parties, are priced and rolled into
an overall scheme cost.
• % uplift on the Member prices agreed in advance by all
parties. Contractors pay this fee to RW.
• Any excess fees are repaid back to members or can be put
into a grant fund.
• This presents cashflow challenges. Options:
1. High cost of initial scheme development, upfront
payment or finance can be repaid over time.
2. RetrofitWorks could raise the funds through its
membership.
