In 2016, Olive Street Design was a 100% WordPress agency--until we flew to Palo Alto, met with the Duda team, learned about Duda One, and slowly adopted it. Until our WP sites were once again hacked and servers went down. We rebuilt 250 WP sites in 6 weeks on Duda (not possible to build this many with any other software) and we found a month later that 100% of these websites were seeing better traction and leads. The power of Duda was clearly evident. Afterward, as our reputation as a Duda agency became apparent, we were approached by Wix. They gave a hard push and we gave the software a try for several months. The great Wix experiment gave us the perspective on how Duda was so far superior to Wix.

3. OLIVE & ASH DESIGN IS
We are a full-service digital
agency headquartered in
Chicago. We transform brands
& grow businesses through
strategy, marketing, design, &
technology services.
5. The back
story
In 2010, Olive Street Design emailed Duda to learn
about their groundbreaking mobile website
technology.
In the first year, OSD had 150 mobile clients
--thereby doubling the monthly revenue stream.
Duda One launches in 2014
OSD is frightened by this new development as we
have 350 WordPress sites (and a dev team who
look down on Duda)
6. The back
story
In 2016, the OSD team asks Duda to visit them
in Palo Alto
Duda response--not sure an agency has asked
this before--but says ok
OSD begrudgingly develops first 25 Duda One
sites by July 2017
July 2017--the year in which we would never
look back. Why?
7. The next
phase
In July 2017, OSD WP sites were once again infected
with malware
In the next 6 weeks, 250 WP sites were migrated to
Duda by a team of 3 not very experienced Duda devs
3 months later, 250 clients applauded the new
software & more importantly, had better traffic &
leads.
What just happened? Did the Duda engineers tell the
truth about the superior SEO value of Duda?
Did I just ‘fire’ WP as the major software development
tool? Who goes against WP?
Well me.
8. The why
First of all, Duda is not for every website. WP is still
pretty good.
Then why Duda?
● Build time. 70% less. That’s right--70%.
● Result--we either make more revenue per site
or, this is more important for us, we can build
websites for almost any budget.
○ We can help more SMBs compete with
larger competitors
○ Duda helped us with some extraordinary
growth over the past few years
● Need for fewer high paid developers. Let’s us
focus on more design oriented people to put
out better websites
9. The why
● Greater customer satisfaction
● No server maintenance
● Easier to maintain and update (we have 1
developer who handles website maintenance
for 1,200+ Duda websites)
● Built for SEO
● Safer and more secure, the best servers
● Stats dashboard
● You can charge much more per month for a
Duda site because it offers more
● Duda vs WP pricing and strategy (when WP)
● And the big reason for all agency owners…
10. I can sleep at night
because I know my
websites will be up
and running in the
morning.
11. The Duda
Effect
2005 to 2010--250 websites
2010 to 2016--350 websites
2017 to 2021--1,365 websites + 1,000 built
for SaaS partners and agencies
● 10 Wix
● 100 WP
12. And what
about Wix?
First of all, there are some very nice people at Wix.
Our issue is that that software has not caught up
to their marketing. Many new software features
simply did not work very well.
The big issues--
● 200% longer to build a site.
● Undocumented editor complexity
● Support was removed
● No stats dashboard
● They changed the deal with us
● Poor quality leads, very poor
● They compete with agencies, crushing margins
13. Is Duda good enough
for my bigger clients?
What if they don’t
want Duda?
15. If there was a tool for your agency
for you to make more money,
deliver better and safer websites,
give you greater peace of mind,
grow your client list, simplify your
life, work less hours – would you
hesitate?
