The firm was founded in 2012 by its Managing Partner, Oluyemisi Dansu LLB, BL, MCIArb,
a skilled Legal practitioner with extensive experience in commercial/corporate litigation,
arbitration and ADR. Oluyemisi Dansu was previously a senior associate with the firm of
Strachan Partners (one of the foremost commercial litigation practices in Nigeria and
acknowledged leader in transactional work particularly in telecommunications, maritime,
energy and major land/property developments).

Dispute Resolution:

MANAGING PARTNER’S PROFILE & CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Oluyemisi Dansu is a dynamic, versatile and highly motivated solicitor and advocate with
extensive experience and a proven record of achievements in general civil/commercial
litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. She is also a confident and skilled
negotiator and solicitor with good organisational and inter-personal skills.
She graduated from the Lagos State University (LASU) in 2002. Subsequently attended the
Nigerian Law School in 2003 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2004. She is a member of
the International Bar Association; the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK Branch and
Nigerian Branch; the Maritime Arbitrators Association of Nigeria MAAN; Lagos Court of
Arbitration and Institute of Information Management Nigeria. She is a Past Secretary of the
Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Section on Business Law
of the Nigerian Bar Association.

She started her career as an Associate Counsel at the law offices of Strachan Partners, led by
a foremost Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Charles Adeyemi Candide-Johnson, and rose to
become a Senior Associate in the firm, before leaving to establish Argyle & Clover in 2012.

Vigorous practice of general civil litigation in all courts and in various practice areas
and has successfully handled several high profile litigation.
Involved in the land mark series of billion naira litigations concerning the ownership
and operation of Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunication network company
Celtel/Zain/Bharti.
Part of the legal team that represented Nigeria’s second GSM telecommunications
network company, Celtel/Zain/Bharti in litigation cases arising out of breach of
shareholders agreement, breach of share purchase agreement executed by the
shareholders.
Part of the Legal team that represented LG Electronics in a multi-million naira
litigation involving breach of distributorship agreement with one of its distributors.
Involved in the judicial review of the decision of the Nigerian Securities Exchange

Mary Akin-Ajayi is a hardworking, creative, dedicated and skilled solicitor and advocate
