I grew up without a father in the house, and from an early age I learned and perfected the
art of being responsible and caring for my family. My focus in life has been to be
excellent and perfect in everything I do.
The diploma I have, equipped me with valuable knowledge in various fields such as Law,
International Relations, Politics, Sociology, Science and IT. After I completed my
diploma I had the privilege of working as copywriter at an Advertising Agency. This
environment helped hone my skills in job presentation, research and in understanding
branding.
I have also gained valuable experience working as a manager running my own office. I
have worked as a cashier, and it is here that I understood the significance of being focus
and alert with every transaction.
I am presently involved in the out-door environment where I do manual labour. This is
also exciting to me, it still allows me to use my acquired skills set. There still exist
elements of management, where the right communication, attention to detail and a sense
of responsibility is required. I understand and respect the significance of protocol, and I
think I am always ready to grow into any position within an organization.
I value progress both educationally and in the workplace, and I think I would be a good
asset in any environment.

2. WORK EXPERIENCE
1. YEAR : June 2008 – January 2010
INSTITUTION : S’bukosesive Advertising Agency
JOB TITLE : Copywriter and Traffic
PRIMARY DUTIES
Conceptualizing and writing copy for adverts formatted for all types of media. I was
working closely with the Creative Director when conceptualizing and drafting scripts for
radio adverts and print adverts for clients such as Sun International and MTN Swaziland.
Also working closely with the Graphic Designer, I used to be involved in the process of
creating an ad from when we got the creative brief, to doing a bit of research as deemed
necessary by the Creative Director, to the production and placement of the ad in the
appropriate media.
I used to handle auditions for models and voice artists as well as actors to be used on
adverts. During preparation for shoots, I had the responsibility of making sure that all
props are there, and would work closely with the camera assistant.
I have also written copy for PR which got published in the national newspaper called the
Swazi Observer. Because it was a small Agency, our duties often overlapped, and I
got the chance to also work closely with the Strategic department there. I used to
accompany the Agency’s Junior strategists who was mainly responsible for the MTN
Brand to meetings with client. We touched base very often to get new briefs and inform
client on progress of the team. Everything used to be run through everyone and ironed out
during our status meetings held twice a week, and I worked with the Junior strategist to
prepare the status report. I also acquired some experience in developing brand
strategy whilst working at the Agency.
2. YEAR : 2001 – 2004

PRIMARY DUTIES
Establishing and monitoring new branches, making sure sales balance up with stock sold,
and receiving stock. This was a company that sold Go For Health products and used the
network marketing system. I started as a sales executive and worked my way to Branch
Clerk and finally Branch Manager. I was able to establish five branches, which serviced
all four regions of Swaziland.
