2. About P.E.Society
Progressive Educational Society is one of the leading educational institutions in Maharashtra.
Late Guruvarya Shankarrao Kanitkar founded Progressive Educational Society in 1934 with a
great foresight. He was the inspiration to members who joined hands with him in implementing
the idea of starting new era of education system in Pune. The remarkable two words
“Progressive” & “Modern” were used by founder to demarcate the dreams & future road map of
Progressive Educational Society.
The society progressively bloomed in the hands of Dr.Gajanan R.Ekbote ,Chairman, Business
Council, P.E.Society .he is an eminent surgeon & an able administrator who leads 58 educational
institutions which include Pre-primary , primary , secondary , higher secondary school &
colleges under various faculties like Arts , Science , Commerce , Engineering , Pharmacy ,
Management , IT & Law etc.
About Modern Institute of Business management
P.E. Society has established Modern Institute of Business Management (MIBM) in 2010.MIBM,s vision
is “To impart quality based education to be self reliant & self sustaining person through inventive
systematic education. Its strength lies in the integration of different paths, design thinking, experiencing
the traditional teaching & also engaging in real time corporate challenges”
MIBM nurtures its students to develop a holistic approach, a curious mindset & the ability to think
differently & innovatively to harness the opportunities emerging from challenges. MIBM students are
well equipped with the right skills to deals with changes & future challenges that every business may
face.

A vision is an articulation of the desire end results in broader terms. The seminar intends to
provide platform to teachers & students to realize the untapped potential & unutilized
opportunities that await exploitation both domestically & internationally as well as problems &
challenges that impede our progress. The seminar aims to provide a knowledge forum for these
teachers for sharing & expanding their knowhow on the untapped potentials which will be useful
for the students for their future guide. The seminar intends to address the students about the high
employment potential sectors as commercial agriculture , agro industry & agro business , fuel &
power , retail & wholesale trade , tourism , housing & construction , IT & IT enabled services ,
transport & communications & many more. Inevitable challenges create the roadblock in the way
of these growth sectors. The major challenges faced in India is slow economic growth , lack of
good governance , diminishing educational standards , inflation , lack of skilled professionals ,
corruption etc. The most important aspects of the seminar is to overcome these daunting
challenges. The seminar intend to give an insight on probable solutions to some of the challenges
