22. Poles of Magnet
• The part of magnet where it’s intensity is more called pole.
• Magnet always faces in north-south direction.
Properties of magnet-
• Same pole repel each other.
• Unlike pole attract each other.
23. What will happen to poles of a magnet if we break
it into two pieces?
24. What will happen in A) and B) ? In which case it will attract and repel?

25. Recap-
• Today we have discussed about magnet, it’s discovery and some
properties of poles of magnet.
1) Define magnet found in nature.
2) Differentiate magnetic and non-magnetic objects with examples.
3) Describe the properties of magnetic poles.
4) Name the place of discovery of magnet.
5) Who discovered magnet?
26. Homework-
1) Define magnet.
2) Differentiate magnetic and non-magnetic Substance.
3) Tell properties of magnetic pole.
Activity-
1) Try to explore magnetic compass and see how it’s showing
direction.
2) List some objects in which magnets are used.
