DoppelMe
http://www.doppelme.com/create/wardrobe.asp?type=background&cat=doppelme
Your DoppelMe is a great way to express
your personality and communicate with
others on the internet. This visual online
identity puts a friendly face on your
internet presence and best of all, you can
quickly update it depending on your
mood. You are not limited to the internet
either and can download your avatar to
use in documents, greetings cards,
letters...the list is endless.
Inspiration(Mapping)
On the same day, we also createdmind
maps using Inspiration. This is a great way
of incorporating ICT in class, and I
recognise that we should be using
technology and encouraging students to use
it. However, I found it confusing to use. I
think I am more comfortable with my own
strategy of arranging ideas on a piece of
paper. However, I will encourage students
to use it, as it will most likely be very useful
for some of them, and as new technology,
they should have exposure to it in order to be competitive. Overall, this workshop was a great learning
experience for me. Some of the programs and sites were very useful sites, and although I had concerns about
several of them, I would still love to incorporate these in my classroom in order to make lessons more
meaningful and to engage students in active learning.
Brochure using
The next program,Microsoft
Publisher, was impressive; I liked
its use of humour as well as its
capabilities.
It si a great to improve your writing and
reading as well as develop knowledge .
Publisher is included in higher-end
editions of Microsoft Office,
reflecting Microsoft's emphasis on
the application as an easy-to-use
and less expensive alternative to
the "heavyweights" with a focus on
the small business market where firms do not have dedicated design professionals available to
make marketing materials and other documents.[1][2] However, it has a relatively small share of the
desktop publishing market, which is dominated by Adobe InDesign and QuarkXPress.[1]
In Microsoft Office 2007, while most of Microsoft Office apps adopted ribbons in their user
interface, Publisher retained its toolbars and did not adopt ribbons until the next version, 2010.

The online protection of children is a shared
responsibility between the ABC, the
parent/guardian and the child. The ABC
aims to ensure that children and young
people (under 18) who engage with our
online spaces understand the possible risks
they face and how to minimise them.
When contributions are sought from, likely
to have been submitted by, or include
children and/or young people (under 18), the ABC will, where appropriate, seek the
consent of a child's parent or guardian before using a child's contribution on ABC
platforms.
Parents seeking appropriate content for young children and advice regarding
information regarding online safety can find the ABC's children's online destinations at

What is Scootle?
Scootle is a national digital learning
repository which provides Australian
teachers with access to more than 20,000
digital learning items, provided by a wide
array of contributors and aligned to core
areas of the Australian Curriculum.
The digital resources available to teachers
nationally include:
• interactive, multimedia resources
• audio, photo and video resources
• open-ended tools for teachers and
students to create learning
resources
• interactive assessment resources
• work samples
• collections of curriculum resources
teacher ideas and units of work.
Scootle has made finding and using digital resources aligned to the Australian Curriculum easy for
teachers.
Teachers can use Scootle to create personalised 'learning paths' consisting of digital curriculum resources
organised into a learning sequence targeted to individual students, student groups or for particular
learning purposes.
Students can access a learning path anywhere and at any time, using a unique PIN, without the need for
logins. A learning path can also be exported in a number of formats for external use by students as a
worksheet, checklist of activities completed or as an assessment task.
http://www.zimmertwins.com/about
I also learned about the software Zimmer
Twins, and after using it, I realized that it is
a good starting point and can play a role in
improving students’ levels of engagement.
They can create a movie from a storyboard,
and it is an interesting way of maximizing
learning.
The Zimmer Twins is a site devoted to kids and creative storytelling
the Zimmer Twins has invited children to create and share their own animated stories.
http://www.wordle.net
Important one it’s good for brainstorming
Could be a bank of words , link many words that
associate to the fields you interesting in or some
thing
I found Wordle very useful for building students’
skills in the areas of identifying ideas,
brainstorming, and improving language skills.
Overall, I found the workshop for day one to
be both useful and enjoyable. I had the
chance to learn about a variety of programs and increased my knowledge. It also was useful
because I learned about innovative technology that will assist me in my future work.
The images you create with Wordle are yours to use in any way you choose. You may print T-Shirts,
business cards, brochures, what have you.
http://www.tagxedo.com/app.html Tagxedo.com same the above

so the students did not feel boring during the lesson
http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/Comix/
CREATE AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL COMIX
At the beginning of each new school year have
students create an autobiographical comic strip
talking about themselves and their families or
summarizing the most important things about
their lives. Let each student select a cartoon
character as a surrogate to represent her or him.
After students complete their strips, encourage
them to exchange their comics with classmates
to learn more about each other. Students can
also create strips that summarize what their individual interests are to help a teacher to learn more
about them. These autobiographical comic strips can become the opening pages of a daily comix
diary that students can be encouraged to keep throughout the school year. For more information
about the concept of a daily comix diary, go to: MakeBeliefsComix.com Daily Comix Diary.
 Have students create a comic strip story using new vocabulary words that are being taught.
 Having students fill in talk or thought balloons for different cartoon characters helps students
practice conversation and offers a way to practice language structure and vocabulary in a
meaningful context.
 Have students who are learning new foreign languages write their text in languages they
are studying. In addition to English, the site accepts characters and accent marks from
languages such as Spanish, Latin, German, Italian and Portuguese. Additional languages
will be added to the site in the future.
http://playrific.com/m/255/build-your-wild-self-website
This website related to ART particular . and useful for kids to create there
writing and improve their ability
to imagine something
“Build you wild self” is also
previewed, and the interesting
aspect of this program is that
users can easily create
personal avatars. Various
options are offered to students,
and they choose from them,
using their imaginations to build
their avatar creatively. I think
this software is useful for
increasing students’
imaginations. Another
advantage is that it increases
learning because students are
also able to print out their work.
Thus, I can see how it could be
used to build creative writing skills.
http://www.abc.net.au/rollercoaster/rollermache/default.htm
good website to train kid in many things
Rollermache is a digital initiative
aimed especially towards kids
aged 8-15 living outside of
metropolitan areas. It is focused
towards showing this audience
as well as children in city areas
how to make their own content.
The Rollermache website site
also provides them with a safe
space to showcase their
creations that is both free and
accessible to school and home
computers.
All content that appears on the
site has been watched and
approved by an ABC moderator
before it appears on the site.
While predominantly for kids, the site can also be used in schools to promote digital literacy,
media production and safe interaction in a context of exploring creativity and having fun.
The site areas include:
Inspire - A video gallery of clips from professional animators, filmmakers and artists giving
“behind the scenes” tips and tricks to budding creators. This gallery includes work from
prominent international companies such as Aardman and Weta as well as profiling work
from local companies including Monkeystack and the Peoples Republic of Animation.
Plan – A section giving suggestions on how to generate ideas for stories, characters, and
worlds. This area also provides tools and templates to develop these ideas and concepts
towards realisation, such as storyboards and script templates.
Create – With rich animated content and downloadable FAQ sheets, this area shows kids
how to actually make stuff like animations, flipbooks and zines using what is available on
the web for free as well as using bits and pieces from around the house.
http://www.dvolver.com/moviemaker/make.html
Over 8 million movies have been made here. That's a lot of chit chat. As it turns out, people
have a lot to say, and they like to say it with animated characters. So, we're happy to oblige.
As it also turns out, brands
*also* like to have their
customers chit chat with
animated characters in
revealing scenes. So,
Dvolver has also been
licensed and totally
customized for Sam
Adams Beer, Hyundai, Old
Navy, IBM, The Sierra
Club, Scion, and a few
others. If you're interested
in a custom setup, just
contact us and let us know
about your project. In case
you were wondering,
Dvolver used to be called
Dfilm... and sometimes,
we still call it that for
shoots and giggles. Mostly
of all, we love you. You
should know that .
http://www.sketchswap.com
Sketch Swap is another program I saw, and I found that it has negative aspects as well as
positive ones. Although it was fun to use, one of its major drawbacks is that, in my opinion,
it can be addictive. I can use it for hours and end up wasting time. Furthermore, I do not
think that it offers enough educational value to use it with students, although it is a good tool
for encouraging students to sketch. In the long run, I don’t think it has major benefits. I also
feel that the potential for its misuse it high, and hence monitoring is very important.
http://www.voki.com/create.php
Voki is an educational tool that allows users to create their very own talking character.
Voki Classroom is a student assignment management system for Voki. With Voki

This step is more advance some students ends up in here to design like these animations.
http://www.quia.com/quiz
Make Activities ,quizzes ect,, in any field
and give you feedback
To design program and ask students to do do it later after school in the home .
is making a quiz on Hangman; this was really a fun process. I think it would be a great activity for
students because it enables them to think logically and critically. I learned that this is a very useful
site that can easily be used with students in the classroom. After this workshop, I think this is a
great way to assess whether or note students have understood the concepts taught. However, I
had some concerns because Greg mentioned that we can use the trial version for 30 days, but
after that all work will be deleted unless a subscription fee of US $40 is paid every month. Another
major concern is that it does not allow you to print or download anything, so the work done by
students cannot be assessed without access to the Internet. I think this will hinder feedback and
will make it difficult to help students solve challenges they are facing.
Other Activities . Sit students individually or Grup to challenge them to improve thire Knowledge in some
thing (( good Educated to learn from each other ))
Learning from doing some thing .

You may print T-Shirts, business cards, brochures, what have you.

Let each student select a cartoon character as a surrogate to represent her or him. After students complete their strips, encourage them to exchange their comics with classmates to learn more about each other. Students can

These autobiographical comic strips can become the opening pages of a daily comix diary that students can be encouraged to keep throughout the school year. For more information about the concept of a daily comix diary, go to: MakeBeliefsComix.com Daily Comix Diary.  Have students create a comic strip story using new vocabulary words that are being taught.  Having students fill in talk or thought balloons for different cartoon characters helps students practice conversation and offers a way to practice language structure and vocabulary in a meaningful context.  Have students who are learning new foreign languages write their text in languages they are studying. In addition to English, the site accepts characters and accent marks from languages such as Spanish, Latin, German, Italian and Portuguese. Additional languages will be added to the site in the future. http://playrific.com/m/255/build-your-wild-self-website This website related to ART particular . and useful for kids to create there writing and improve their ability to imagine something “Build you wild self” is also previewed, and the interesting aspect of this program is that users can easily create personal avatars. Various options are offered to students, and they choose from them, using their imaginations to build their avatar creatively. I think this software is useful for increasing students’ imaginations. Another advantage is that it increases learning because students are also able to print out their work. Thus, I can see how it could be used to build creative writing skills.

  • 9. http://www.dvolver.com/moviemaker/make.html Over 8 million movies have been made here. That's a lot of chit chat. As it turns out, people have a lot to say, and they like to say it with animated characters. So, we're happy to oblige. As it also turns out, brands *also* like to have their customers chit chat with animated characters in revealing scenes. So, Dvolver has also been licensed and totally customized for Sam Adams Beer, Hyundai, Old Navy, IBM, The Sierra Club, Scion, and a few others. If you're interested in a custom setup, just contact us and let us know about your project. In case you were wondering, Dvolver used to be called Dfilm... and sometimes, we still call it that for shoots and giggles. Mostly of all, we love you. You should know that . http://www.sketchswap.com Sketch Swap is another program I saw, and I found that it has negative aspects as well as positive ones. Although it was fun to use, one of its major drawbacks is that, in my opinion, it can be addictive. I can use it for hours and end up wasting time. Furthermore, I do not think that it offers enough educational value to use it with students, although it is a good tool for encouraging students to sketch. In the long run, I don’t think it has major benefits. I also feel that the potential for its misuse it high, and hence monitoring is very important.

  • 13. http://www.quia.com/quiz Make Activities ,quizzes ect,, in any field and give you feedback To design program and ask students to do do it later after school in the home . is making a quiz on Hangman; this was really a fun process. I think it would be a great activity for students because it enables them to think logically and critically. I learned that this is a very useful site that can easily be used with students in the classroom. After this workshop, I think this is a great way to assess whether or note students have understood the concepts taught. However, I had some concerns because Greg mentioned that we can use the trial version for 30 days, but after that all work will be deleted unless a subscription fee of US $40 is paid every month. Another major concern is that it does not allow you to print or download anything, so the work done by students cannot be assessed without access to the Internet. I think this will hinder feedback and will make it difficult to help students solve challenges they are facing. Other Activities . Sit students individually or Grup to challenge them to improve thire Knowledge in some thing (( good Educated to learn from each other ))
