that have great potential to be developed as tourism objects. The city of
Batu is astronomically located at 112 ° 17'10.90 "-122 ° 57'11"South

and the maximum temperature in summer is 28 ° C.
Coban Talun tourism object located in Tulungrejo Village has a
border: Sumberbrantas Village (north); Punten Village (south);
Sumbergondo Village (east); west of the forest area of Perhutani and the
Forest Park (Tahura) Raden Suryo. Tulungrejo Village consists of five
hamlets, namely: Wonorejo Hamlet; Junggo Hamlet; Kekep Hamlet; Gerdu
Hamlet; Gondang Hamlet. Tulungrejo Village consists of 5 hamlets, 17 RW,
80 RT and 7536 households (BPS Kota Batu, 2018). Tulungrejo Village has
several tourism attractions such as chrysanthemum flower gardens, apple
picking tours, sea flower garden tours, rabbit farm tours, Selecta recreation
park, Pura luhur giri, and also Coban Talun.
We chose Coban Talun natural tourism as the object of research
because the area of Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji district is the main tourism
village in the field of agrotourism, so that many tourism objects in the area
can be observed regarding the community and management of tourism
attractions.
B. Data source
This research use primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from
structured interviews using questionnaires while secondary data obtained
from Government Administration Data in 2010.
4. Population: Based on Village Government Administration data in 2010
(BPS Kota Batu, 2018), the population of Tulungrejo Village is 9411
people, consist of 4740 men and 4617 women. The number of residents is
incorporated in 7536 households. With a productive age at the age of 20-49
years Tulungrejo village is around 6478 people.
Sample: in this research sample counted by using the Slovin method.
Samples are taken based on the productive age in Tulungrejo Village,
productive age is considered capable of providing accurate information.
According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the age ratio is between
unproductive age population (under 15 years old and over 64 years old )
with productive age (between 15 and 64 years old). The productive age in
Tulungrejo Village (15-64 years old) is around 6478 people. Then sampling
is calculated using the Solvin formula:
n =
𝑁
1+𝑁 𝑒²
Info:
N = population (1735 people)
E = margin of error (0.05)
From the results of calculations using the Slovin method, 377 people
results were obtained as a minimum sample. Unfortunatelly due to
researchers' limited time, a minimum sample of 30 people was taken.

The most professions undertaken by the people of Tulungrejo Village are
farm laborers, which amounted to 11 people, then as shareholders in Coban
Talun tourism objects by 10 people, farmers by 4 people, traders by 3
people, private employees, mechanics, builders and breeders by 1 people.
Based on the results of a survey of 32 people in the Tulungrejo Village
around the Coban Talun tourism attraction, the whole community had good
welfare even though their income sources / professions varied. While the
influence of tourism objects on the well-being of the people examined
through social behavior is presented in the following diagram:
8. Picture 2. (Unaffected and affected)
It can be seen that the influence of tourism objects on people's behavior is
19 people and the remaining 13 people is a socety whose social behavior is
not influenced by tourism objects.
Based on the results of the research it can be seen that the people
around Coban Talun work more as farm laborers, because in the area there
are many fields and supporting factors that are very adequate agriculture
such as fertile land and sources of irrigation and supporting weather and
climate, considering the Tulungrejo Village area on the volcanic plateau.
While the people who invest in Coban Talun tourism objects were less in
number than the people who worked as farm laborers. From the results of
interviews that have been conducted, the people who work as traders
consider their business not to be affected by Coban Talun tourism objects
because in the Coban Talun Tourism object there are already traders who
open culinary businesses in it.
The results of the research it can be seen that the welfare of the
community is considered good if it is reviewed from several indicators that
we use in this research. Although the average final education of the
community is classified as low, the community has jobs that are able to
fulfill their needs. The quality of the environment in the Tulungrejo Village
area includes both that can be seen from the management of waste
transported and the disposal of waste water to sewers and water sources

9. used for drinking and other activities originating from springs. The quality
of people's homes is classified as good, in terms of the type of floor, walls,
floor area, waste water facilities, lighting and waste disposal. The
community already has long-term thinking by saving their income in the
form of transportation, gold, land and shares.
In terms of the social behavior of the community towards the
existence of Coban Talun tourism objects, the surrounding community only
knows about the tourism attraction but does not carry out activities related
to the tourism as the main source of income, the people who invest in these
attractions are basically only used as additional income or asset. Because the
profits from planting these shares are less than the regional minimum wages
of Bumiaji Subdistrict and these benefits are not always obtained on a
monthly basis, so that people prefer economic activities that are not related
to the tourism attraction of Coban Talun.
III. Conclusion
Development of economic activities has an effect on the surrounding
environment. Include the economic development in the tourism sector in
Tulungrejo Village. The role of the community around Coban Talun tourism
object is as an investor for the development of tourism objects. Many people
also work as Coban Talun tourism employees and some also engage in
economic activities through trading.
But on the results of the research that has been done, economic
development in the tourism sector, namely Coban Talun natural tourism
does not have a major influence on the community economy around Coban
Talun natural tourism object in Tulungrejo Village. The community is more
dependent on the economy for the use of agricultural land which is
considered to guarantee their welfare.
