All current releases of SDScom belong to version 4 and follow the paradigm that one set
of data (within the tag "Datasheet") represents one Safety Data Sheet. Version 5 has no
deadline yet, … but ... It should use a product-based approach ... IT systems such as SAP
usually maintain a product with links to n SDS flavours, or in other words, all info that is
the same for all national versions of an SDS is represented only once.

5. But...
 Version 5 is not yet scheduled, let alone started.
 The technical workshop in fall 2017 concluded that
SDScom should not cover content other than the SDS
in the near future.
